Natural oasis with state of art development.

Water all year round. Best to be visited early or later in the day closer to sunset. There isn't a picnic area or any food etc on site.
Basically a giant dam with a paved access road to the top. The access road is quite steep and requires some care driving both ways.
You aren't allowed to swim in the lake or fish and access to the water's edge is restricted to only a kayak/paddle boat/motorised boat rental.response / report this review -

Hatta is a fascinating place, the nature scene is marvellous, the lake is in the heart of the mountains, long drive from Abu Dhabi, but worth it.

I deliberately posted a picture that doesn't showcase the lake because there are plenty of them. I wanted to give you guys a glimpse of the terrain. Traditional homes, sloping roads and green trees are common. One of the loveliest escapes in the UAE. Take a DSLR and a tripod, wait till night time and shoot the light trails of cars coming and going.
There are kayaks and pedal boats you can rent for the whole day. 60 dirhams for kayaks.
Everyone deserves an escape and this one will give you the relaxation you need.
