A location in the middle of the desert you would repeatedly want to go. Stunning view of the sunset from the top.

Part of the Mleiha Desert and under the Mleiha Archaelogical Centre and EPAA, this is a wondrous site in the middle of the desert. Fossils are plentiful on this rock, hence the name Fossil Rock!

Visited after many years and still enjoyed the sight of daredevil drivers leaving their mark on the fossil rock.

Fascinating. Getting there in the dunes via 4wd vehicles is half the fun. Would love to camp in it's shadow next time

Pearl of outdoor unexplored place for outdoor walking and hiking in dunes . From Maliha Road to Fossil Rock approx one hour hike for experienced walker. MUST CARRY AT LEAST 4 LTR OF WATER FOR ANY HIKE STARTING MID DAY OR EARLY MORNING . as dunes are bit challenging and steep rises make you out of breath in 10 steps. So carry water travel with group, enter or exit with correct time planning. Send is 6 to 8 inch soft so use good shoes, take multiple stops. Feel free to drop me line if any questions.if any of you have question post me.

One of the beautiful and historic areas to be visited in the UAE. The brick coloured sand along with the old fossil type rocks gives an unique look! Municipality had banned camping in this area without proper permission. Maleihah is surrounded by historic fossil rocks and structures.

It a fun place to drive to in your 4x4 car. Make sure your are in company of 2 other off-road cars, and your car is in good shape. Only for more experienced off-road drivers.

An exciting place for those who loves dune bashing and drive around some challenging desert terrain. Must be ready for some thrills. One must be proficient in desert driving.

Easily accessible if you have a decent SUV. You can get as close to the rocks depending on your car and driving skills. People were camping there overnight. Has good photographing opportunities as well.
