One of the worst gyms in Dubai, they threat with legal actions even you don't come to the gym. They keep running the contract even after the expiry like its lifetime we have signed up with them. They try phony tactics to pressurize the people. Never sign the contract with them by trusting their fancy gym. They are threatning my sister she had a surgery and could no longer continue. Finding a way to go legal against them for threatening for something which was communicated months back for cancellation. Tried to reach their GM/manager, but he was never available. DON'T TRUST THESE GYM!!

at best, an average gym. In comparision to other gyms, membership here is going to cost you a fortune and does not seem worth it. It has a common workout area for men and women with a variety of equipment. there is also a separate workout area for women which is small with limited equipment. Pool is great for swimming and swimmign classes, but gets crowded in evenings. i would advise people to be cautious before enrolling as memberships are non refundable and the sales reps can be quite persuausive. the staff seems quite moody and were not very helpful.

Been to this branch several times. Most of all, it is huge gym - maybe too big. For ladies, to use the restroom, you have to go all the way up the stairs and go trough here and there and you’ll find a small one. Considering the number of lady customers, the powder room and restroom are not big enough.

The group exercise area - ventilation is not good enough. As it’s very crowded most of the time, in my opinion, it would be much better if it is some how handled differently.

And the yoga area is quite small and the instructor doesn’t really seem interested in giving the class compared to other yoga instructors at other branches.

But for the parking, it’s not so hard to find a space as it is located in the mall. Actually, parking is the only reason I occasionally visit this branch.

Great place for kids learning to swim. The pool is indoors and that is a big plus. Kudos to the trainer Dennis. He is caring and tough at the same time - need that from a trainer.

It's an okay Gym. To describe my experience I would like to highlight firstly that you must spend some time talking to a trainer before committing with that trainer. My experience was with a trainer with poor attitude I could call it an attitude problem that this trainer had. It was absolutely a miserable experience being bullied like almost in high school by the trainer. I immediately raise this to management and confronted the trainer with the issue she had with her attitude. Thankfully management was very understanding and they immediately replaced that trainer. So I would give management for stars for acting after I radiation but the only one missing star from the rating is due to their hiring process and selection of trainers. Other than that I really enjoy the facilities around and therefore for that a four star rating shall apply as well.

its an OKAY gym, the only reason I joined is that it is close to home, otherwise I would have considered other options for sure.
The Trainers are not helpful at all, during my 2 free sessions , they basically did nothing. it was supposed to be a two 1 hour sessions free when joining, but basically, the first sessions was they take your weight and height and take to you about your "GOALS" , which lasts like 15 minutes and then they try to sell you overpriced PT sessions
my second session also lasted 20 minutes, which included basically 3 exercises, and then immediately a set down session trying to sell me overprices PT sessions
the gym is almost always crowed, the free weight is no enter zone as its over crowded most of the time.
need better AC, better air purifiers/ ventilation
the Shower/ changing rooms need better AC and ventilation

This review is based on my experience utilizing Fitness First at Mirdif City Center for the previous 4 months.

Overall review. Poor Value for the huge amount of money you have to pay.

Spacious. Fitness First at Mirdif City Center is a very spacious fitness center but crowded during peak hours.

Huge selection of Equipment. Large selection and variety of equipment, some are old and squeaky.

Ridiculous Cost. It is very expensive. Value for money is very poor.

Convenient Working Hours. They are open almost 18 hours a day except on Fridays.

High Noise level. Although most users are using their own audio entertainment systems (smart devices and headphones), the management insists on keeping the volume of overhead speakers very high that interferes with the quality of your experience.

Shower Area. Showers need to be updated. Small flying insects plague the first-floor shower area. Some water outlets are rusty (for example. see the second restroom on the second floor in the male section).

Cleanliness?? I can't say it is a clean facility. Cleaners need a lot of training in this regard.

Friendliness??!! Overall staff were unfriendly, except for the receptionists, who were very friendly. Trainers are even hostile (passive aggressive), especially if you don't subscribe to their paid services.

CCTV in the locker area !!! I find it very strange to have CCTV system in this area.

Telemarketing. Their sales reps will call you anytime convenient for them to disturb you with their offers.

Selling your information. Few days after signing in and stating that my goal was to reduce my weight, I started receiving these SMS messages on my phone marketing local weight reduction products and services.

Coffee Machine. When I started, a coffee machine with a nice selection of hot drinks was available. Over the last four months, the machine was not working most of the time. Lately, the machine was made to dispense hot water only.

Promised T-shirt. I was promised a T-Shirt after completing 8 sessions. Afterward and when I requested the T-Shirt, staff started acting weirdly that I did not ask again.

Good facilities. Expected the gym for platinum level to be much neater and cleaner like the Palm Jumeirah facility. Showers need to be updated big time.

Horrible! No one will ever assist you unless you getting a PT. Rusty machines, dirty gym, no air purifiers,no music at the women section, staff totally unfriendly. They will look at you while doing a bad exercise and not bothering themselves to advice. Totally a waste of money. I complain at FitnessFirstMe Facebook page- they were trying to help and then the Mirdif Branch Manager called and was all frustrated. The GYM is SUPER DIRTY guys! Try other Fitness First branch or a total different gym.

They have CCTV in the locker rooms, which is nice. I mean who doesn't enjoy being watched and recorded while they're changing in a locker room?

Completed a year with these jokers and got ripped off badly. When I asked about platinum membership I was misled to believe that I would be given a personal trainer for 3 days a week for the duration of my membership but it turns out that it was only for 3 sessions. If I wanted more I had to pay another 6000+ DHS on top of the 4600 DHS I had paid for the platinum membership.

To get the trainer for my 3 sessions I had to haggle with the receptionist to get his number so I could call him up, and when I call him he rudely informs me that I hadn't made an appointment with him.

To make their club more attractive I was told that there would be MMA and Aikido classes but when I went to ask the instructor who puts up the timetable where are these classes he looks at me like as if I'm talking in Greek or Latin.

So in short I paid 4600DHS to use a gym (for a quarter of the price I could have gone elsewhere) and go to some classes to put up with a rude Filipino woman.

It is called platinum. and you will be charged in platinum! but you the service you get worth a lot less than copper!!!
Gym is always over crowded, Most of the time you wont even get a towel because they are all dirty, this is not a joke, this is what happens to me every week. free weight area queue is longer that Dubai terminal 1 immigration queue in high season. I just like everyone fully appreciate the gravity of situation in Fitness first before joining and paying thousand in advance with no way back. Few time me and other members which I have met in the gym made complaint and their answer always is we can try other gyms!!! yes that the exact answer you would get at front desk.

    Problems :
No empty locker, even when number of present members are less than the number of lockers, how is that possible?
Clean towel is none existence most of the time
free weight area has two benches and each have 6 people waiting to jump on it so good luck using them.
all cable and pulley machines are making noise and need maintenance
None of the staff tidy up the free weight area. in fact weights are all over the gym and you need to explore the gym to find them. if you are lucky to find them. To be honest there is a short slim Filipino instructor who tries to clean up the weight areas on his own and he is the only one.
Reception staff specially Filipinos are super rude and un-helpful, most of the time they are chatting and ignorant.
