A really big and beautiful zoo, and am sure it is one of the greatest tourist attraction here. It might take you an entire day if you want to see all the enclosures here. I am giving it one star less only because I don't like to see wild animals kept in cages, and they belong to their natural habitat.

Very boring experice some of the animals weren't even there. Price is to high for what they show. More food than animals. Should been city walk 3.

A good place for taking kids there but beware, it's a huge zoo and walking or being able to see it in one go is a difficult, if not an impossible for adults let alone kids. However a good place for educational purposes as well. Even though you can find food and other eatables there, it is highly recommended that you take water bottles with you especially if you are visiting in summer season like i did. And most importantly, follow the zoo safety rules at all times!

I personally don't like the concept of zoos at all! This one in particular although well maintained, the animals couldn't just stand the heat and you hardly will get to see them out during day time. The gorilla is a cutie there!

I had many good memories there. It was a great place. The animals there amazed me! There was a baboon, which jumped around and entertained everyone; it was such a good memory.

I am very sad that it has closed. But it will go to the Animal Safari. So I’m happy as well!

Good for kids and education purpose. Easily approachable. It is like a long corridor which has cages facing each other. Lion, tiger, bear, macaws , parrots, swans, monkeys, ibex, deer etc.
General cleanliness is trademark. Animals are well cared. Cages are preperly maintained.
There must be a tuc shop and rest room specially in Summer when u are very exhausted u must need some rest to cool down.

Oldest zoo in UAE, only finger-counted animals are there.the remarkable ones are white tiger, two lions, one bear, big monkey(species I don't remember), and some birds. Not watch worthy, though valuable for 2 dhs of entry fee

The place looks below par. Some animals are already moved to Safari, other looks in miserable condition. Although good for children. Washrooms, prayer area and caanteen available inside

Nice place to visit with family. Kids will surely enjoy especially different varieties of birds which are so close to watch and well visible .

The only public place which has maintained the entrance fee the same past 5 years or so. Great for Family picnic and outings..I've heard they are going to upgrade the zoo

Small yet a wide variety of animals. This is the first and only zoo in dubai but it's a good place to visit when you have nothing else to do.

This is the only zoo in Dubai at the moment. It's small but has a variety of animals to see. They need to be transferred to better facilities soon. It's hard to see the big cats and primates in smaller cages. There are a couple of water fountains and a food cart inside. The admission fee is 2 AED. There are wheelchairs if needed

Considering that it's the only zoo in Dubai and has been around for more than 23 years, it's good. But the way some big animals are caged is not really ethical as they don't have much space to move around. They should really try to move them to a much bigger enclosure because a place for educating people on animals and animal conservation should also be a place to teach them the ethical ways of treating animals. Apart from this fact, the place is well maintained and the animals are well taken care of.

It's a tiny zoo but with good variety of animals considering the size. Safe and clean however you can not interact with animals as they are locked behind double fences. If you have one free and you are not sure where to go your may consider visiting dubai zoo.

Visited this zoo twice. What can I say, it's a nice place to visit with your family but there are a few things I'd like to add: The place is too small and the smell is pretty strong. Not so many animals to see. I would suggest to put the entrance fee not 2 but 10 AED and to keep the zoo much cleaner and bring a few more species of animals. Otherwise it's a nice place.
