  I opted evening safari. There are a few issues and some surprises.
  Issues:
  1. Expect a long journey while reaching there. Our driver was slow and took 3 hours to reach there. However, while coming back we were back in less than 2 hours.
  2. Hubble Bubble aka Sheesha is free in a closed room. If you want to bring it outside, pay aed50. If you want different flavor, pay 50aed. 😁
  3. Buffet Starter had a pakorra and a few fries only.
  4. Buffet dishes did had a few things, 2 type of rice, 2 type of gravys (daal and mix vegetables), 4-5 salads, low quality humus, 3-4 small pieces if bbq. Thats it. So, don't expect a regular buffet or even closer to that.

  Good Things
  1. Drinks were available in quantity
  2. 4x4 riding was awesome and we enjoyed it.
  3. Dances were not going with the rhythm of the song but were good enough.
  4. Fire show was pretty nice
  5. Sitting arrangement was traditional Arabic floor sitting. So, it was nice
  6. A few hosts were making guests more involved which was fun.
  That should be good enough information for a new comer. 🙂
  My advice, you must try it but don't expect more than an average hosting, if you want it, you should go for premium packages, they have privileges for sofa, Sheesha flavors, dine in buffet etc.

  Thinking myself to be quite the savvy shopper, I stumbled across this website offering desert safaris for less than half the cost of elsewhere, for what seemed to be the same tour. My fellow travellers how wrong I was. I can safely say the best activity was making fun of how awful the trip was with some South Africans! ‘Desert’, try ‘littered abandoned oil field just off the highway’. ‘Camel rides included’, more like ‘sit on an angry camel in a tiny pen, or pay for an actual ride’. ‘Unlimited soft drinks’, not until after 7 go back at 7 and it’s ‘not until 7.15’. The whole experience leaves you feeling short changed. Even the dancers stop halfway through a song, when they cut the music and usher the next act onto the stage! It’s so bad it’s actually funny
  The entire trip (and low price) are just an opportunity to sell you extras, and if you politely decline the extras, you’ll be met with open, almost aggressive rudeness by the staff, who genuinely seem to enjoy being hostile to guests. Our driver, to his credit, was very skilled, kind, polite, and hardworking.
  Save your money and go out for a nice dinner or spend a little more with a real company.

  You get what you pay for and for £10pp what can you really expect? The entertainment is really great but the rest of the experience is lacking. Lots of waiting around - for buses, for food, for drinks, for lackluster activities. Far from an authentic Bedouin site, this is a pretty gastly tourist trap less than a 5 min drive ‘professional dune bashing drive’ from a highway slip-lane 40km out of downtown Dubai. The dress ups require tips, the camel rides are in small circles with camels who are growling not to be there- think angry pony rides at a fair ground - and for the added fees involved in quad biking I’d expect more adventure than a small marked out track to go circles around. The sand boards don’t slide on the sand anymore and the henna lady, although lovely, has such a long line that that the free designs you can get are tiny and the paid ones can be rushed. The whole experience is either milling about waiting for things to happen or rushed - lining up for the buffet is like lining up to get rationed meals at camp and 5mins after mains are served they close down for the night. If seeing the desert and fire and belly dancers matters to you, pay more for something more bespoke that doesn’t take you to a huge tourist camp. Our experience had over 500 people at it and most things were added extras - better seating - 100aed a person and including meat with dinner, holding a chained up falcon, hookah 50aed, fruit 20aed and you could by alcohol at the bar. The unlimited tea/coffee didn’t start until 2 hours into the tour and soft drinks (only cola) didn’t start until 3hours into the tour and the lines for all of them are substantial. The food - after a long line at a self service buffet - is better quality than what the price point of the tour implies (the main is at least, the cold fries for starter are grim) and the entertainment - belly dancing, fire breather and a third awesome colourful spinning man - were all great. Really great! They made the night! Overall there is lots of waiting around for short bouts of anything interesting and unless you’re prepared to get handing over cash for things no one is really prepared to interact with you in any way. Once it’s all over finding your guide and lining up for 4WDs back to the roadside takes 1 hour - it would be faster to walk if you weren’t scared of being killed by the 4WDs who scream about at high speeds in the dark not really minding where everyone is standing. I’d suggest trying to find something smaller and more authentic in Dubai or waiting til you visit say the Berbers in the Moroccan Sahara as that’s comparatively an intimate, thoughtful and exceptional experience! I learnt nothing good about UAE culture or history on this trip.

  The place is too crowded, there are people's from other travel agents also. Food is not good. Eventhough should try desert safari. It is a kind of must do in Dubai.

  However I worked for few years in Libya close to the desert, and this was the 9th time for me to visit Dubai, but this was the first time for me to see the sand desert! This safari was really great and much fun. We saw the sunset there, ride a camel, were many activities like belly dance. And we got a very nice dinner. No doubt I will recommend them to everyone wants a safari in Dubai!
