Its a tiny fort but the setting is beautiful. Hot
There isn't much there but it is worth the visit. There are 242 steps to reach the dirty so go before it is too hot. The views are definitely worth it
Great place. We enjoyed soo much. Free entrance grate view.!!
Nice place for physical movement which rewards you with outstanding sunset view
Nice place, not crowded good to have a nice view of the mountains
Located in a very quite and peaceful village, this is one of the lesser known places in RAK. Beautiful stairway leads you to the top of the fort. Thought not very big in size, it offers spectacular views of the date farms and the surrounding mountains. Worth a visit.
Amazing mud fort and a very historic monument signifying the last point of resistance between the locals and the British colonials. It offers breathtaking views overlooking the gulf and the city below on one end and has imposing mountains on the other. The 15-20 minutes climb on the Rocky steps levelled with concrete is worth all the thrill that you experience once you reach the top.
Good place to visit and very hard to climb the stairs especially for old age people
Good place for a visit and clicking a few pics. There is a steep climb to reach top.
Nice place to visit at early morning n evening
Requires a little bit of hiking along a stable concrete road that goes all the way to the top. Should be an easy walk but the hot weather can exhaust you. Be sure to bring liquids when going up. The view on top is worth it. There is a convenience store right when you go down so getting a cold drink should not be a problem.
ras al khaima historic fort on border UAE with Oman
A must when in RAK.
Be careful when exiting the main road, as the road to the fort is very narrow. The views from the top of the fort overlook Jebal Jais and RAK town.
Beautiful fortress 20Km north if Ras al-Khaimah city. The panoramic views from the fort's ramparts are well worth the trip here, and for anyone interested in history, exploring the fort itself is one of this small emirate's top things to do.
Heard a lot about it but was largely disappointedits more like a watch tower on a small hill.just two mud chambers on a small peak.be prepared to walk uphill through a series of crude steps. But the view from the top is amazing..hills and valley on one side , desert on another and sea from yet other direction.
Heritage at it best. Not close to the city of RAK. But very nice.
Beautiful views across mountains and Dhayah Oasis. One of the few historic places here in RAK. But the fortress itself is relatively small and not much to explore. Worth a visit though.
Interesting and historical place ignored by the tourism authority and tourists. It can become an important attraction by adding a small museum and some restoration and the view point is amazing.
