Best time to visit during week days
Because closed on weekends.
The history well preserved. It houses coins from Pre-Islamic and from the times of Caliphs. Amazing place to be if you love history.
If your hobby is numismatic you will like this place. But very small museum.
I have very onld coin . Where can i sell it ??
Nothing much here. Just some displays. Dubai Museum has more to offer.
Hey friends I have this coin.. I wanna sale it. It is 14th century coin.. dynasty of mughal's or sikandar lodhi in india
Small but interesting museum where you can learn the coin history of the town and the region.
Interesting little museum with a number of different historic coins from the area and the region. There are exhibits from the general history of Dubai and the Emirates as well, so it's got something to offer to everyone if you're in the area and thinking of visiting.
We don't have a particular interest in coins, but had stumbled upon this place while exploring the old Dubai site. We might not have enjoyed it fully, but the numismatists out there might find this place fascinating.
There is no entry fee but they do require you to sign into the admission book, the need for which I didn't quite fully understand. Limited opening hours so plan ahead. Quite desolate with no other visitors while we were there, and we were there for a good half hour. Based on the glimpse of the sign in book I had, there are very few visitors for now.
Much like the rest of the sites around old Dubai on this side of the creek, the place feels a bit staged and manufactured rather than historic unfortunately.
