Sit yourself down for some Ethiopian home cooking and warm Ethiopian hospitality. This place is one of the real treasures in Abu Dhabi for any real foodie. One of the best meals you can have in the city. Don't know Ethiopian cooking? No worries. Just order the Yetsom Beyaynetu which is a sampler of 6-7 small dishes. Guaranteed you'll love it!

First time having Ethiopian food. Took my hesitant 7 year old along also. Food was excellent and the service was great. Mary was especially attentive and ensured my boy really enjoyed his meal. Highly recommended!

My favorite restaurant in Abu Dhabi..food is awesome and most of all it's budget friendly, you’ll love this little resto. It’s truly a hidden gem.

Downgrading this review because they have been decreasing their portion sizes a bit and putting less of the good stuff in some of their mixed dishes.

Ethiopian is one of top three of my favorite international cuisines. Any place I go to if there is an Ethiopian restaurant within 50 miles of where I am staying I would go out and have a bite. Take that into consideration when I say this is one of the best Ethiopian food I have had.
I haven't had the pleasure of enjoying Ethiopian cuisine in Ethiopia but Bonne Anne came closest to an award winning Ethiopian restaurant I have had dinner in DC which is a favorite haunt of Clinton's and many U.S. senators. Now I haven't yet worked my way down their menu but the non-veg platter was simply amazing and that is always a good way to assess the authenticity. The Ethiopian coffee was amazing and the number of Ethiopian nationals vouch for the restaurants. I was surprised not to see any diners from India as Ethiopian is invariably a hit any Indian friend I have persuaded to go as the flavors are very close to Indian cuisine. They use almost the same ingredients and same spiceds with a different touch which makes it stand out. Simply outstanding and a must visit. My only wish list item is that,the interior is slightly brighter, only because I like to see what I eat.response / report this review -

The food and staff is great. I have been many times with my girlfriend, who is Ethiopian, and we prefer this place over many others. My favorite is derak tibs.
