decent sushi/sashimi and nice cocktails, but let down a bit by the staff who seem disinterested and lacking in humour - they need some lessons in hospitality from the staff next door at the ritzcarlton.

Wednesday evening greeted by security guard before proceeding to speak to the hostess. She says bar counter service only so that's fine and we go ahead to enter but then security guard reappears by the door to ask for my ID (that seemed a bit backward but ok). According to him the UK drivers' licence isn't satisfactory only an 'international passport' or 'emirati ID' are suitable. I'm well travelled and is a first refusal for me and UK driver's license works in Dubai. Is this a bar or a government building anyway?! Suppose it all works out in the end as the Sorso bar Ritz Carlton has happy hour 2 for 1 cocktails and beer. Plus the staff are welcoming.

Reservations at this place is unclear cuase I tried to do phone reservation and the reply was “ I need to check with my manager and we will call you later” .
The place is almost empty during the week days accept Wednesday which is ladies night .

Barfly supposed to change name in BIG TIME RACIST BAR. I came 2 times and never let me in with my friends I called and reserves 3 times and said they’re booked where in bar is not much people. Security and bar manager let us wait for 10 minutes outside and come out saying they’re booked as usual. I was checked in last night in Ritz Carlton but they never consider that, it’s so disappointing that people doesn’t know the word equality. Worst experience!

Good efficient service. Confusing blend of Euro and Asian dishes on the menu. Nonetheless food and drinks were both very good.

Food was pretty good. Shisha was selection was really good. Ambiance was nice (including the music). Not very crowded so the setting was intimate.

Great ambience, Wednesday was a ladies night so drinks were free for em ! Good music, posh ambience and obviously expensive. A bottle of Glen scotch was about 250$.
