    EARTH HOUR 2018 OBSERVED BY ATANA HOTEL, DUBAI

    By spending an hour, Atana Hotel joined millions around the world to send a powerful message about a brighter future for the planet. This year marked Atana Hotel’s third annual participation in Earth Hour 2018.

    Atana Hotel turned off its lights in observance of Earth Hour, the global environmental awareness initiative from the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). Iconic buildings and landmarks from Asia Pacific to Europe and Africa to the... Americas, Bahrain to United Arab Emirates switched off lights to show their support. People across the world from all walks of life who valued our environment turned off their lights and came together in celebration and contemplation of the one thing we all have in common – our planet.

    In dedication to environmental sustainability, Atana Hotel also shared other energy-saving measures during Earth Hour, March 24 2018 at 8:30 p.m. local time. During Earth Hour the hotel turned off the lights at the entrance, signage board, outside building, Restaurant outlets, swimming pool, guest’s corridors, exterior signage; dimming and/or turning off non-essential interior lighting; using candlelight in appropriate public areas such as restaurants; Earth Hour banners across the Lobby, and sending letters to the rooms to inform the guests about Earth Hour observances. This year Atana Hotel laid main emphasis on the Olives Restaurant where guests dined with just candles lit around the entire area.

    Earth Hour is drawing strong support from various hotels in Dubai and around the globe. This year, all of Dubai Division Hotels participated in this initiative to help encourage people into taking action to save the earth.

    Reda Moukhtar, General Manager, said: “Atana Hotel has been supporting Earth Hour initiative for the last two years. We believe that everyone is responsible to take an action in protecting the earth and to find solution to the threat of global warming. Our little effort when combined with what the rest of the world was doing created a big impact and I am glad that our Team and hotel guests supported this campaign.

    Some of the green initiatives already undertaken by Atana Hotel are the use of LED lights, compact fluorescent lamps, eco-friendly fiber pillows, linens and towels, installed variable frequency in the AC system; water savers in rooms and kitchen; waste segregation and recycling and safe disposal of hazardous waste.

    Dear General Manager I feel compelled to write to you about the Excellent Customer Service provided to me and my family during our stay at the Atana Hotel.

    This is the second time my family have stayed at the Atana Hotel and we have always had a lovely time.

    I would like to say that when we arrived at the Hotel on 23 February 2018 we were greeted by Samuel and Gabriel.They were very courteous and helpful and arranged for our suitcases to be taken to our rooms.Throughout our stay whenever we met them in the reception area they were always eager to help and assist us with any transport we required.They had a great attitude.

    Everyday when we attended the restaurant for breakfast and evening meal we were greeted when they were on duty by Amirul the duty manager ,and Angeline .They always greeted us with a big smile and would come to our table to check that everything was alright and to check if we needed anything.They were always concerned that we enjoyed our dining experience.Also Rajesh was always attentive to our needs and made sure our table was cleared and our glasses topped up with water.It was always a pleasure to speak to them all.

    Whenever we used the Pool I have to thank Khalid and Mohsin for all their help they provided in moving sunbeds when we required them to do so.They worked hard everyday and always dealt with us with respect and a big smile.Nothing was ever a problem for them.They were always eager to help.

    I could have mentioned many more of the staff that work at the Hotel but I have mentioned those staff that me and my family had the most contact with. I hope that you will recognise the fantastic work that these members of staff do to make sure that residents of the hotel enjoy their stay.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay thanks to your staff and we will look forward to returning to the hotel in the very near future

    Dear sir

    May i take this opportunity to thank you and congratulate you on a wonderful professional staff service that you have at the hotel ATANA.

    Me and my girlfriend decided to visit Dubai for her birthday 11th of March so we chose hotel ATANA as it was fair on price and a good location based on reviews and that did not disappointed us. On the day of our arrival we were greeted and accommodated in a very professional maner, I must say it was a magnificent holiday , starting... from the very comfort room and adorable food, spotless hygiene of the room of course ,very polite and helpful staff, professional in every way to a beautiful beaches , walks , safaris etc etc that Dubai has to offer.

    Furthermore can’t help mentioning one of your restaurant mangers Amirul that made our stay very delightful together with other restaurant staff. He was very professional, smart and helpful regarding our stay at your hotel . A detail that made our stay even better was the birthday of my girlfriend, where Amirul arranged a cake with a candle and got the staff to sing her a happy bday song. Worth mentioning is also Chef Rashid with his amazing cooking and delicious desserts and of course the rest of the staff waiters and trainees that made our stay a diet healthier one 😃

    Also I must point out the pool life guard called Mohsen that helped us in many occasions finding a perfect spot at the pool, helping with the sun umbrella and many things. very polite and professional i must say 👌🏻 and so was the doorman Sam who helped us with information about anything we needed.

    Once again sir my sincere respect to you on having such a wonderful team of stuff that makes ATANA hotel a place worth staying while visiting wonderful Dubai . Well done 👏🏻
