Spirit of Africa Trophy 4x4 Competition. The SOA has been rated the biggest amateur 4x4 competition in the world which now has international status.
The Spirit of Africa Trophy is a 4x4 competition hosted by 11 times SA rally champion, Sarel van der Merwe. Elimination rounds are held each year where the top 20 teams who score the highest points go through to the final. The final is held in a country outside South Africa's borders where the 20 finalists fight it out to see who is SA's 4x4 champion. The first three winners from the final are eligible to participate in the Spirit of Amarok International.
