Mattanja, meaning “Gift from God”, is situated on 4000 Hectares in the Soutpansberg Area of the Limpopo Province in South Africa. Mattanja is about 4 hours travelling time from Pretoria and no more than 5 hours from O.R. Tambo International Airport. Mattanja also boast with a 1000 meter runway, perfect for charter flights! Two of Mattanja's Directors are qualified and experienced pilots with more than 35 years of flying experience each.
Mattanja, that was originally 4 separate farms known as Malapchani, Sandstone Edge, Mapani Ridge and Driehoek, is an exclusive Hunting, Eco-Tourism and Game Breeding farm that brings to life the dream of Africa by housing within its boundaries over 15 species of mammals, among other the Cape Buffalo, the Leopard, the Sable and the Springbok in addition to the wide range of antelope native to the area.
At Mattanja we also breed genetically strong game such as Sables, Livingstone's Elands, Nyala’s and Heartwater Springbok. We strive to deliver only the best to our clients! Our Game is breeded from the top genetic pools in SA thus we offer a broad selection of species.

Mattanja offers 2 beautiful, family safe and friendly Lodges which can accommodate up to 18 and 10 people, each, perfect for corporate groups, family getaway’s and much more! We also have a Safari Camp for the more adventurous type.
