Chimoyo Wildlife was established by Johan Rabie in 2001.
The original buffalo breeding material were sourced from the herds of Wayne Wagner, Chris Mostert, Hein Müller, and Koos Kemp (all Kruger bloodline) as well as a few East-African cows originally from the herd of Bill Venter.
The current sable antelope breeding bull, Champion is a pure Zambian (97% nuclear DNA) son of the well-known Piet (53⅝”) whilst the maternal lines originate from Thaba Tholo, Hannes Maree, Piet Warren, B.J. Vorster and Adriaan Venter.
