Description
A test pilot, circus fire eater, and underwater demolition expert joined forces to form a company. Since those people have nothing to do with our company, they will not be further discussed here.
XtremeKomedy.com was created by three experienced businessman to address largely untapped areas of opportunity in the comedy industry. ("Comedy industry" here means everything from comedians to comedy DVDs). Two of the businessmen have had extensive experience in the industry, one as a producer and the other as a writer.
Additionally, all three of us have extensive experience with successful business startups.
While there are major comedy players such as Comedy Central, and various production companies such as Adam Sandler's, the industry is still very fragmented with all kinds of groups and individuals vying tor a piece of a very lucrative pie. Many, if not most, of these parties have backgrounds as entertainers, not business people.. For example, comedy club owners are often bartenders who moved up to management.
As a result, an enormous need and opportunity exist to provide systematic marketing principles for helping these people succeed. XtremeKomedy.com recognizes that given the current economy, and realities of show business, only the largest players can afford expensive marketing campaigns. We hope to address the need for programs that replicate what the big guys do but on shoestring budgets
Our overarching goal is to connect various strands of the disparate comedy industry, build a client/customer base and get involved in more and more complex projects to the point that we add or at least access various kinds of media production, through Strategic Partnersips.. We have already been involved in comedy scriptwriting for animation that was used for advertising on YouTube, and feel that this is just one area of a larger entertainment universe that has a great future and fits with our skill set.
Creation and marketing of our own e-books represent one more profit center for which we have expertise. We already have extensive experience in launching hard copy books nationally and internationally both online and offline. E-books merely represent a logical extension of this.
