Nice grassy areas for upland hunting. Maybe it was luck, maybe not but a day after a release, I was able to avoid everybody and have my own patch of grass to work the dog. [read more]

Who would guess such a great park and zoo is free. And they offer great, fun activities too! Concession available too at a fraction of big zoos. Can complete the entire zoo in thirty minutes. [read more]
An interesting place to explore with the Wisconsin River on one side of the levee and lots prairie and wet land restoration on the other. No real trails other than the deer trails. [read more]

Mushroom hike! We checked out the trails in mid-September. There were still fierce mosquitoes and all different kinds of mushrooms everywhere! It was a real treat. [read more]
