Great clearance items from Deli cases to fruits & vegi.s! Good service, BIG store, parking lot. Not too far to walk to cove, library or parks. Art Galleries nearby too!User
Great location in the center of The La Jolla Village..Great wine selection..Thus is a convenient store.User
Great store. Clean, well organized, well stocked. Gorgeous fresh flower department.User
The Publix of west coast. But not as great. So maybe it's a Kroger copy. Great store, lots of options, and fantastic service. User
I haven't had good experiences at this location. I've had bad produce and moldy flowers. Customer service isn't always great either. I have shopped here at times because it is close to home.User
Overpriced, but that's to be expected in La Jolla. Three of the lady cashiers/checkers are the nicest and fastest ever. Oh, and they moved the bread isle recently but didn't label the isle. It's nowhere near the bakery anymore, in case you're looking...User
My favorate super market in all of San Diego. Big store with great quality. Excellent meats and seafood. Good service:clean and well organized.User
Vons/Safeway it's great. Friendly staff, products you can trust, and a good deli. If you need a quick dinner for your family, try the delicious meatloaf with some potato salad. User
I like quite a few people that work here. Everyone is super nice and they have my Häagen-Dazs Coffee Ice Cream!!User
One of my favorite grocery stores. They have a nice produce section, really good wine and beer selection and some of their deli products are really nice (like their guacamole).User
We stopped in this evening. When we walked in the store, about 15 carts were lined up it wedged in between the wall and first check stand so that customers could not get one. I saw an empty cart at the end of a checkstand, so I said to my wife "Just get that empty one." She walked over to get it, then she walked outside and it took about a minute before she returned with a cart.
I asked her what happened and she said the manager told her that cart was "for employee use" and she needed to get a cart from outside. Now "outside" didn't mean from a line out front, but meant she had to walk out into the parking lot and retrieve one!
HELLO Von's manager...it's not your customers job to retrieve carts from the parking lot...it is YOUR JOB.
Good thing it wasn't me he told to go outside because I would have been happy to tell you where you could shove your "employees cart."
Apparently "customer service" is an ancient dead language to Von's. Whatever...I sure won't return. There are way to many good groceries in the area.User
It's a pretty standard grocery store. Easy enough to find things because they lay out the store in a logical manner. It was fairly busy when we went, but they got through the lines quickly and efficiently.User
Fine store, but goodness, they need more parking. Went to grab a few things at about 3:30 pm and literally every spot was full. People were doing the classic circle around every lane until you see reverse lights. Some people parked off site and walked in. Make sure you don't go at a busy time
