Description

Are you looking to try a new family friendly sport? A sport where no one is waiting on the bench and there are no age requirements? The answer is BMX Racing.

What is BMX racing?
BMX racing has been around since the 1960’s. A California born race that became popular around the same time that motocross was spreading over the US. Being similar to motocross, BMX racing is a type of off-road bicycle racing. Races are an intense 30-40 second sprint on purpose-built, off-road single-lap race tracks. The track usually consists of a starting gate for up to eight racers, a groomed serpentine dirt race course made of various jumps and rollers and a finish line for kids and adults. BOYS and GIRLS as young as 2 years old, and MEN and WOMEN of all ages enjoy the sport.

BMX Racing was introduced into the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
