Green Gate Farm has been in operation since 1981 on NE Garden Ave, Corvallis and is owned by Mary EIchler
I have lived on GREEN GATE FARM for 33 years. I do not spray Herbicides or Pesticides. I use composted cow, chicken and horse manure to fertilize our vegetable crops, berries, orchard fruit and pastures. I encourage beneficial insects with bee houses and the planting of flowers in my garden to attract them. I provide housing for skunk families because of the benefit they provide the farm. (I have never been “sprayed” and have walked by them out foraging for food all the time) Our Barns have Barn Owl nest boxes and we see babies every year. A Barn owls diet is 98% rodent which eliminates any need to use poisons around our hay storage. We have perches for various hawks which help to keep the vole and field rodent populations in check. I also put up Bat boxes, bird boxes and wood duck boxes. They are all beneficial and they make my hard work a pleasure just to have them share the farm with me.
