Disappointed. To go order was, hamburger steak and broccoli casserole. The meat looked like a hamburger ball- it could have been patted out to make it look like a steak and the casserole was mushy- I thought it was mashed potatoes. It had no taste or texture of a broccoli casserole. I will not be going back- first expression mean alot.
Food is good, but you don't get much for the price. I took my daughter and granddaughters during lunch and was charged the dinner price for meat and 2.
Everyone is very nice and again, the food is really good...but it's confusing in the way the servings are set up.
I was encouraged to try The Halo Cafe. I went in the next day to try the collard greens. The greens were well seasoned & delicious!!!! I highly recommend this restaurant to all who love to eat enjoyable soul food. I'm hoping, the next visit will only be greater.....
Maybe ok for a meat and 2 but definitely the most pitiful excuse for an all you eat buffet i ever been to. No bar you have to tell the what meat you want one at a time. Start out with meat loaf and 3 limited sides then wait 20 minute after you finish that get one chicken leg. On and on folks its false advertising. Sad thing is food is good. Pork tenderloin maybe and ounce or less. Pitiful. Save your money go to trotters or a taste of home. They have pool tables in here. Oh well enjoy the 10 bucks you got me for on my birthday.last dime you will ever get.
Relaxing, enjoyable dining. Truly "background" music. Attentive, friendly wait staff. While buffets have their "charm", for those who prefer their food served, this is definitely worth a try. Good country cooking (even an all-you can eat option) without the crush of the buffet. We will come again.
