Our warming hut is located at Wellington Recreation Park near Smiths Ferry, ID on Hwy 55. The facility was constructed in the late 1970’s with a large parking lot, restrooms and warming hut. In the same year the Idaho Parks and Recreation Department helped the club get a snowmobile groomer to be based at the Wellington Snow Park. This groomer maintains approximately 300 miles of snowmobile trail, also connects to adjoining groomer trails throughout Valley and Boise County, covering in excess of 800 miles. Now imagine that many groomed trails in the snow and think of how many miles that could give you access to ride your other off-road toys. Our riding area encompasses Sage Hen Reservoir, Tripod Lookout & east of Smiths Ferry with the ability to go up to Packer John, over to Terrace Lakes or even to Silver Creek Plunge. If you get real adventuresome you could even ride to Yellow Pine or McCall. We are committed to keeping public areas open to the public for all recreationists.
