Barrett Junction Cafe & Mercantile has a long history. The original building was a mercantile. In the early 1900's the cafe was added to the general mercantile, through the early years rodeos and dances were hosted on the weekends. In the 1940's the Quonset hut was added and through the years adapted to more modern life. The dances continued and the Friday night Fish Fry became a regular occurrence.
