This is a must if you’re visiting Colorado! This was an incredible experience that was packed with stunning views and lots of adrenaline!

My boyfriend, sister, and I rented the Razor, and an ATV. Both were super fun! You start off at their base, which I recommend arriving 45 min early. That is where you choose your helmet, and sign some paperwork. Then you drive up to the trails which takes maybe 25-30 min! I recommend going @ 830 am, the trails were pretty much all to ourselves! Coming back at 1100, there was a lot more people coming in, where I can see people running into some trail traffic.

They give you a map, which is easy to follow, and every trail is marked! We stuck to the easy/moderate difficult trails because we are beginners! Let me tell you, they were still super fun, packed with a ton of uphills, bumps, dips with water, and lots of adrenaline rush! Everyone is professional, and super nice! We were running a little late, so they gave us about 15 min extra ride time which was super nice because we didn’t even ask!

We will definitely be back every time we are in Colorado!

We had the most wonderful time riding a Razor rented from this company. The staff were super friendly, yet made sure we understood the rules. They offered recommendations regarding trails and fully explained the equipment. The trails were more fun and challenging than we expected and yet we had no problems, just lots of fun and laughs. The next day we rented a Jeep for a full day. The Jeep was much nicer than we expected, and again the trail recommendation was great! We would recommend this company and experience to everyone!

I can't say enough about what a complete BLAST my fiance and I had riding a razor through the wilderness! I'm pretty much a girlie girl, but my guy is a guy's guy, so I wanted to give him the gift of play, and he was on top of the world! It had snowed a bit, so we bundled up and took off, and I couldn't stop screaming with joy! He said he didn't know what was more fun, the ride, or watching how much fun I had! Andy, Marshall and the entire staff were fantastic! They, too, were laughing at my laughing. It was just an incredible and affordable experience, and we will DEFINITELY be back for a ride in all seasons! Thanks guys!

This is a first class operation. My husband and I -- on our own ATV -- needed air for our tire in the wilderness of Ward, CO. We happened upon Owen and Marshall of Backbone Adventures as they were serving REAL paying customers and without hesitation they filled up our tire.....and even better? They were happy to do so. No charge, so we tipped them and thanked them. If you want to rent an off road vehicle, ATV or similar.....go with this professional, reliable company. FIVE STARS!

I can't say enough great things about this experience!! This was one of our planned activities on our trip from Minnesota to Colorado and we are so glad we did this!

Booking was extremely simple, check-in at base was quick and easy, and everyone there was courteous and friendly!

We rented a 2 person Razor, which was perfect for the trails out there! The trails crew was waiting for us with our rental ready to go when we arrived at the pick-up location at the trail. The guys out there were also very friendly, knowledgeable, and you could tell they simply love their job!

We did the full day adventure which allowed plenty of time to take every trail, but also park, and walk to the different locations that had beautiful views along the way. It was really great to get to see the different sights that wouldn't have been accessible by our personal vehicle!

The Razor ran perfectly for us, got us through all of the terrain without an issue. The adventure allowed us to feel like kids again! We experienced all varieties of trails from dirt, puddles, small rock to large bolder type rocks, lots of twists, turns, and climbs! It was a BLAST!

The follow-up email thanking us for our business was just the icing on the cake! We will definitely be back!

My husband and I rented a 2-person ATV from Backbone Adventures and it was AMAZING! The fellow that oriented us to the vehicle was very informative, friendly and made recommendations for trails based on our skill level (or, lack of). We followed the trails he recommended and had an incredible afternoon in the Rockies. Highly recommend this place :) just an FYI though, the location where you go to sign waivers, pay, book, get a helmet, etc...all that is right across the street from the Estes Park marina. The actual site where you pick up your vehicle is an 18ish mile drive, so you do have to show up before your time slot. But they explained all that when we booked and gave us a map to the location. We will definitely be coming back ❤

Backbone Adventures is awesome! We visited Estes Park last week and rented a razor for a half day and it was so much fun. Andy and Ryan, as well as the rest of the crew are super friendly. Quick & easy process to get checked in, get your helmet and head to the mountain. There are several trails to ride, beautiful views, and everything you need to know to have a blast and stay safe. I would highly recommend Backbone for your next adventure, it is well worth it! See you again in the future, Backbone!

Thanks Andy & Ryan - This outing was great! You make your reservation and go to the main office to complete paper work and get your helmets. Then you drive to mountain to meet the crew & get your ATV/UTV. Our kids were 10 years old at the time, boy & girl. They loved taking turns in the front seat and navigating the trail map to find places we could get off & explore. Most amazing views, great trails. We did bring water bottles, some people had coolers & snacks, but we did not.

I would recommend bringing a scarf/handkerchief to tie around your mouth/nose because it was very dusty.

The staff was very caring about safety and informative about the machines and terrain. Very professional and ensured a great time. We laughed over all the big bumps & valleys.

Highlight of our vacation!! Beginning when we set foot in their shop, Backbone's staff was nothing but friendly, fun, and professional. We were first timers so the lady that helped us check in went over all the trails with us and assured us we'd be okay!! Up at the trails Andy went over all vehicle safety and rules and gave us a very informative run down of the trails and based on our level of experience, provided a recommended route. Trails were awesome, great views, equipment was in great shape, really just can't say enough good things about this company and our experience. Spend the money ( they're more affordable than their competition), do the trails, enjoy the mountains!! You won't regret it!

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. They were very helpful and friendly. Checking in was smooth and I was given a trail recommendation based on what I was looking for. I rented a 2 door jeep and we went through a walk through and instructions together. The jeep ran great no problems whatsoever. Spent the day on storm mountain and it was an amazing experience. The views were one of a kind. I'll definitely be a return customer next visit.

My husband and I rented two ATV's for the afternoon 1/2 day rental. WE HAD A BLAST! I loved that this was unguided so we could stop where we wanted for as long as we wanted. The staff was really helpful with suggestions of where to stop along the trails and which ones would best match our skill level. This wasn't our first time on ATV's but I am glad we stuck to the easier trails as they were rougher terrain than we were used to and were fun enough to give us some adventure and easy enough for us to enjoy our first visit in Rocky Mountain National Forest. Thank you Backbone!

My wife and I came to Estes Park from Texas for our honeymoon. I found BackBone Adventures on the internet while we were planning the trip. One of the main things I wanted to do was to rent a Jeep and explore the trails in the Mountains. I can't express how impressed I was with the equipment and experience. The customer service and employees were excellent. Even though I have off-road experience they were thorough with the equipment and safety. We thoroughly enjoyed Backbone Adventures and all the experiences here in Colorado.

We are already planning a family trip in the spring and possibly another for our anniversary in October 2017. The first thing I will do is reserve a jeep with Backbone Adventures, they are top notch and I will recommend them.

This was my wife and I's 4th time with backbone adventures. Andy runs a great business and we always have a blast. They take care of you very well and they are great people. Every time my wife and I go to Colorado (2-3x a year) we always rent utv/atv through backbone adventures. We will always give them our business. Highly recommend them to anyone and for any family of any level experience.
