sinan no film company it was founded by film maker and ssentongo sinani. who had a vision to change the mindset and lives of youth living in the ghetto by using film. music and art, drama comedy as a medium while involving youth to teach and mentor the young ones. we are committed to restoring hope and healing in communities. we use film, art and music to connect youth and empower them to become peace building community builders. We are dedicated to creating spaces and educational programs that narture and empower a new generation of young leaders in Uganda and all of Africa who will use their voices to communicate positive messages and affect positive change in the communities and the world. Sinan no provides Uganda youth with the opportunity to gain new skills, bring their own creation to life and develop relationships community, the larger Ugandan struggle, and a global peace building movement. Good evening supporters. Kiyaga Aisha and Ssentongo Sinani will be filming an interesting short film this mouth and delivering the final project for your viewing probably by Sunday night. A free short film for your viewing pleasure. As long as the cast and crew are all set with no issue then we can pull this off. We wanted to work under pressure of a timeline in order to challenge ourselves. This project will be a great first attempt at this. Wish us luck please and look back for updates. VIEW OF A FILM FAN!
"*Hahahaha...u go it right. So please one of these days some should sit people in our industry down...and tell them what each stakeholder should do. Our industry is good but we need to handle the aspect of our professionalism. Let actors act, directors direct, writers script, producers provide, editors edit, DOPs view the best shot places...let everyone do their job. We find a problem when a movie that has been pinned everywhere on bill board with a good p...remier price is a disaster on the show. The lights a bad, fractuating sound that is unnecessary, when we even seen the shadow of the camera man in the background, and you find that a scene was placed out of context and all the blame is put on on guy...the director. But where were the editors, producers, DOPs, and the rest of the crew members. Well we need to let people who want to make a film know that if they cant put a full crew on set then they leave it. Its time people stopped blaming directors alone. Me am hash tag #NoMoreCompromiseUgMovies. Dont know of am making sense."

"BECOMING" A FILMMAKER IS NOT A DESTINATION...
Becoming a filmmaker is not a destination. You don’t need to “become” anything. It’s not something outside you. It’s not whether you own a large format camera or have a rich dentist uncle willing to pay for your work.
... If you want to “become” a filmmaker, remember you already are one. Being a filmmaker is about what actions you take, not what it says on your resume or whether you know Ssentongo Sinani. It is not a series of accomplishments that you can wear on your sleeve. It’s not how much money you have in your bank account and how many awards you have on the mantle. Those are byproducts of doing great work.
Peter Brook, the famed film and theater director said (and I paraphrase) that you become a director the day you call yourself one.
I know so many filmmakers (and I used to be one) that associate being a professional filmmaker with money. Professionalism has nothing to do with getting paid, it is an attitude of doing. It is about how you treat people on set. It’s about the level of respect you have for other people’s time and effort as well as your own. It is about how well you create the conditions for things to actually get made.
Think about all the work you made before you got your first paying gig. Were you any less a filmmaker then?
Finally, ask yourself if you would still be a filmmaker if you couldn’t tell anybody what you do? Would you still tell stories and love doing it, even if you were failing?
I would love to hear your answers to those final two questions.
