Like all other Post PNG branches in the National Capital District (NCD) and Papua New Guinea (PNG) it is responsible for the mail (letters) delivery services throughout the country and overseas.
Post PNG has faced steep competition with the courier services and when email system became accessible to the public it further brought down the need for their services. Though there are ways to improve the services Post PNG is not doing enough to use the electronic systems and other means to capture the interest of users or the general public.
Their trusted courier system, EMS, is slow and its online monitoring is almost useless to win public interest.
Registered mail by post is no longer in use as according to PNG Post since EMS came into existence it has replaced or substituted this service. Are there any logic in that in terms of costings?
*If letters takes longer than its normal time for delivery how then would you be able to win customer confidence?
