Tilicho Lake is a lake located in the Manang district of Nepal. It is situated at an altitude of 4,919 metres in the Annapurna range of the Himalayas. Anyone attempting to do the Annapurna Circuit route usually cross these watersheds between Manang and Kali Gandaki valleys above the 5,000 meters high Thorong La pass. Various lodges have been built between Manang and the Lake, but there aren’t any accommodation sites or even teahouses past the Tilicho Base Camp lodge.

Went in 99 to the lake from Manag. Amazing experience met some crazy Czech doodes having a shanti breakfast in their tent in front of the base camp hostel. When I asked were you heading? they replied over the top man! Straight down to Jomson. I remember wishing them luck before saying goodbye. That memory ate away at me for four years wondering if they made it. Finally I went back in 2003 and followed in their footsteps over the (meskato pass?) and down into Jomson............ WOW WOW WOW not to be taken lightly. If you are one of the doodes let me know your alaive I didnt notice any bodies in the ice!

A steep and slippery trail up and back down (make sure to have good boots for snow, and hiking poles), but all worth it to see this amazing location. Was very lucky to have perfect conditions this day, and to celebrate a day early my first white Christmas 😊🇦🇺

Wow excellent and wonderful place to finally reach. It was a long climb from Tilicho BC but totally worth it! It took us 2.5hrs up and our hills are quite slow. It's very very cold though! My hands froze through my gloves and we couldn't stay that long.

Highlight of the Anapurna circuit. If you can opt to skip days in the lower bits and do this instead - by all means do!

I can't describe the beauty of the Tilicho Lake in words. The wonderful scenario takeaway my heart. Deep blue lake surrounded by snow white mountains, make me forgotten the tiredness of 3 days Travel in vehicle and 2 days trekking with Fert., in a pulse.
