  Pretty cool concept. You get complimentary drinks when you check-in! Staff is extremely friendly. The rooftop restaurant is popping!

  From Dubai we booked 2 rooms for 3 nights. The rooms are too small and not what it looks on the website however, clean.
  On the 3rd days we were out and they dint give us the room.
  No courtesy and asked us to leave because there were no rooms inspite of we having made the reservation. We expected some help but they were very blunt.
  The male receptionist very bad unpleasant.
  Breakfast was ok

  Shangrila Boutique hotel is one of the best hotel for those back packers who want meet new friends on their travel like me best place to chill in rooftop gardenias restaurant.

  Staff was nice. The problem was it was very cold in the rooms and the bathrooms weren't cleaned for the several days that I was there. Someone defecated on the floor and it remained there and smelled terrible.

  Loved the service here. Manager is super nice. Keshab will help with all travel arrangements. Most backpackers stay in the dorm here. Surrounded by things to do in thamel

  1st and 2nd floor rooms are better than the ground floor ones. The breakfast is not very good quality. The price is ok for a dorm bed, and good value if you have 4 people sharing a private room.

  Rooms are smartly decorated and fairly clean. The hotel is a little bit back from the main road, so it is quiet at night. It is, however, in a cluster of hotels so you will get quite a bit of bar/music noise in the late evening.
