  Very nice people. Hard working, improving their facility. Solid, safe, incredibly supplied with food, warmth climate in the common area, WiFi pretty constant...and amazing views of the Nuptse and Lo Lah peaks. It is right next to the Khumbu glacier. Here was the original Everest Base Camp.

  We stayed here in October 2017. Not sure how this compares to other accommodations in Gorek Shep but this place was awful compared to other places we stayed at in Lobuche or elsewhere along the EBC trail. No water and no sink to wash with, the bathrooms were dirty and dilapidated, the dinner option that evening was pasta with tomato sauce and a thin mushroom soup with no mushrooms. The rooms had absolutely nothing except the beds.
