Brilliant Academy was established in the year 2009 with 60 Learners, 6 Teachers, 2 Nannies, 2 Toilets and 6 Classes.
The School started with 4 Classes; Pre-Basic 1&2. Today the school has 2 Sites, 1 Play & Sport Ground, 1 Computer Room, 2 Laboratories, 405 Learners, 30 Teachers, 6 Nannies, 2 Security Men, and 25 Classes; such as Pre-Basic 1&2, Basic 1,2,3,4,5 & 6, JSS 1,2&3 and SSS 1.
The school is an Integrated school with Islamiyya & Tahfeez Section.
The School since it's opening has successfully organized and presented the following programmes in it's different past sessions:
1. Mother's Day 2011/2012 Session
2. Brilliant Day 2012/2013 Session
3. 1st Muharram Day 2013/2014 Session
4. Sport Day 2013/2014 Session
5. Graduation Day 2014/2015 Session
The School participated in the 2015 National Mathematics and Science Olympiad for Junior Secondary Schools in which Nasir Nasir Karofi of JSS 2 Was the overall winner; 1st in Science for Kano State and Balarabe Musa Abdullahi, Hafsat Ibrahim Ahmad of JSS 3 and Fatima Abubakar of JSS 2 won in Mathematics.
The School goes for Excursions, which among the visited places are: Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano Zoo, Bayero University, Kano Library and Sport Complex, Shoprite, dr. Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso Bridge at Kofar Nasarawa, Gidan Makama, Mambaya House, to mention but a few...
