Namutoni must undoubtedly be the camp in the Etosha National Park that oozes character, thanks to the old German Fort that forms the centre of the camp. The fort now houses two restaurants, a bar, chill lounge, curio shop and craft boutique, bookshop and jewellery store, and overlooks the King Nehale waterhole. Accommodation comprises en suite double rooms, bush chalets with outdoor showers, as well as camping sites, and is connected to the Fort by means of elevated wooden walkways. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets over the waterhole, when night takes over from day. Namutoni is close to the Fischer’s Pan, where you can see many waterbirds during the wet season (also a breeding colony of flamingoes). You can drive yourself around Etosha, but they also offer three guided game drives per day.
