I have been visiting this place since 2009. Almost every month. Since three month ago my love for this place and marketing to clients has changed. The price for entry is going up every time I visit. In September it was 50 Namibian dollars then in October 100namibian dollars and today I was charged 110 Namibian dollars per person. I asked a lady at the reception if this was due to maintenance expense. Ignorantly answered me . I don't have time for that go to the manager. To the Manager i asked two questions . Why guides are paying for day entry as they bring clients for her and price change everytime. She answered me . I can only talk to your office . I love this place for comunit to benefit. But i might take business somewhere . Please take off that reception lady and put her somewhere else to learn attitude management .

Worst experience dealing with a campsite manager in Namibia so far. First of all we are using a guidebook that was released 5 months ago and the price for this campsite was raised 55 NAD per person, for two people that is almost 10 USD more. Then we asked if we can have a look at the campsites to see what we are paying for which the rude receptionist denied is with the words "you want to drive in you have to pay". The manager was right next to this conversation and didn´t interfere at all. I went to his office to ask him if he thinks it is right to treat potential clients like that. He apologized in the end and said that it happened in the past that people said they want to have a look at the campsite, drive in, visit the sights within their complex and drive out. I worked a lot in the hospitality business and don´t think I have ever heard of a place that rather asumes that customers want to cheat you than encouraging them from staying at your place.

Stunning landscape, very nice helpful community. Try to get a camping site with view of sunset

Best campsite in Namibia. Pitches are distant from each other, in the middle of the park. No water toilets (only one at the reception), but who really cares in front of this scenery. Magic sunrises and sunsets, as well as stargazing opportunities. Go also for the guided walks, informative and nice. Restaurant is available as well.

Perhaps the most scenic campsite in whole of Namibia. Highly recommended. Especially the spots on the western side for sunsets

Thus is amazing. Highly recommend climbing and hiking here. But guys, don't come here with running shoes or untrained. You won't make it to the top. :)

True natural nature, be sure to stop over for at least two nights with a good book and a pair of hiking boots.

Incredibly beautiful campsites, so spacious it's hard to believe the site is all for you alone.
The view in the morning when you open your tent... unbelievable.

Rockpaintings on site, only allowed to go there with local guide.

    Great stargazing!!!

Showers at the entrance of the camp, long drop toilet at the sites.
Peace and quiet. Loved it here.

We went there with the Easter weekend. The receptionist told us we could pick any free campsite: first come first serve since it was a busy weekend. We drove around about half an hour to find a free spot, and after a short while two other people showed up. Apparantly the receptionist reservated different campsites in the morning, but after some hours he changed his mind and started to use the 'first come first serve' method.
The manager is a friendly guy who drove around with us to find another spot. We chose just an open spot somewhere far away from everybody. The manager brought a bin and a braai.
It was an amazing night, great to see the stars with an open sky. The rocks are amazing during the day and night.
Ask receptionist to be sure if you can take any spot - else you will have to waste time discussing with everybody to get at least a place to sleep

This camp lacks the convenient electrical hook-ups and showers that are within walking distance of the campsites. However, the big benefit of the camp is that it is more like real camping allowing one to feel closer to nature without the constant chatter of other campers.

Nice rock paintings in area. Local community receives 50 percent of proceeds.
