A place deep in nature where u can come across an elephant or lion at any time
Beatifull place, but no good value for money: poor variety for the quite expensive diner buffet, a lot of money (800pp) for the game drive (while they know sightings are poor for a long time, but they dont tell you when selling it) and the prices of the rooms are just of the extraordinairy (but can't judge the quality, since we camped). View is nice and its a comfortable stop in this part of the country.
Very beautiful, situated in mountains and nature is so good,u can see rhinos, lions and elephants
Amazing place and amazing landscape.
Very good campsites. Clean pool.
Exelent lodge. This is one of the top lodges in Damaraland.
Food and Service at this lodge was very good and friendly. But the rooms are very basic.
Great location with beautiful surroundings. Campsites are great, spacious, clean and quiet, and frequently visited by elephants.
Palmwag lodge is not what it use to be. Service was dismal. Management rude, staff unfriendly and lodgings really run down for what it cost. Will defnitely not spend money there again.
Great place, great view and much improved infrastructure. Glad we were running late so had to sleep over.
They offer Game Drives with expensive prices and they cannot show you any game. The young management makes lots of mistakes and things do not run proporley here. I do not recomend this place any more.
Great sunset from the restaurant terrace.
We stayed at the campsite for 1 night, but were supposed to stay for 2 nights.
From when we arrived until we left we felt like we were not welcome in the restaurant, pool, reception area. Campsite guests need to stay at there camping.
We checked in for 2 nights, still thinking that we had also booked for 2 nights. Nobody told us this wasn't the case.
After dinner there were some problems to pay with credit card so we asked for a tab because we would stay 2 nights. After some discussion it was fine.
The day after we went to the Palmwag park. Beautiful reserve with nice views and very much zebra's. 4x4 is required.
When arriving back at our campsite, other people took our place. After complaining the receptionist told us that we only stayed one night, they were fully booked and still had to pay for dinner.
Area is beautiful, but make sure you have nothing to discuss with restaurant/bar/reception. Then you will have a great stay. Ablution facilities are shared but fine.
Make sure you saved enough money as well because bar prices are enourmous. Cigarettes are twice as expensive, and a beer costs about 50 dollars.
People are friendly and animals are amazing
A nice place to stop on the way North
Good lunch in a nice surroundings
Awesome would definitely recommend it nice camp sites
Very nice place, but pricing totally nuts. One camping site was issued to us, with the slasto flooring under the veranda halfway gone. The cost for the night was N$180 each for the two of us and yes....wait for it.... another N$150 for the camping site??? Total for the night a whopping N$510.00. Daylight robbery! So we left.... if the owners, who were unavailable during our "brief" visit, wish to enrich themselves, and in the process cause damage to our international tourist trade, they are welcome to do so, but abusing Namibian land and resources in this way, is some the Ministry should investigate.
