OmniTel Namibia (PTY) started its operations on 1 October 2008, resulting from a management buyout of Siemens Enterprise Communications (PTY) Ltd in Namibia. Siemens has been active in Namibia in this market in excess of 40 years. The business was bought as a going concern and all staff accepted employment in the newly formed company.
Ownership
The company is 100% Namibian owned and 32% shares thereof are held by a previously disadvantaged group. The remainder is held by the management of the company.
Business Activities
The main activities consist of the marketing, Sales, (installation) service of telecommunication (PABX) and related equipment.OmniTel Namibia (PTY) Ltd is the sole approved reseller and Service agent for UNIFY (formerly SiemensEnterprise Communication Systems) and Samsung Communication Systems in Namibia. All Sales and service activities are co-ordinated from the offices in Windhoek. Our customer base stretches virtually over all sectors and we enjoy a particular strong presence in the banking sector, municipalities and government sector.
