Elonga Hostel (“Elonga Internship”) is the ideal place for foreign students who need a comfortable accommodation establishment while in Namibia doing their internship or volunteering.

Elonga Internship is responsible for finding the most suitable placements for the international as well as local Namibian students.

The beauty of this establishment is that it is a combination of Kleines Heim and the Elonga Hostel. Kleines Heim is a very beautiful guesthouse that caters to all types of people. Kleines Heim offers 14 rooms each uniquely decorated with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and WiFi. Kleines Heim is on the top of the list for business individuals who would want a private place to work and relax. Yet making room for social functions such as baby showers or family gatherings.

The Conference room at Elonga Hostel / Kleines Heim has the capacity to accommodate 75 people, providing refreshments, snacks and of course the projector for presentations, however, all that is done only on request.

Tucked away in a quiet and private area surrounded by tall palm trees and camouflage walls the Elonga Hostel / Kleines Heim can be referred to as ”home away from home”.

Situated in Windhoek west just a stones throw away from the ever busy City Center close to NUST, the Elonga Hostel/ Kleines Heim offers comfortable dorm rooms for sharing, single, double and triple rooms.

The hostel is self-catering and has a big beautiful kitchen where students can prepare their own food.

The staff members at the accommodation are willing to lend a helping hand and they always have a smile on their faces.

Some of the activities that the students engage in include swimming in the beautiful pool, laying under the palm trees, sitting in the lounge interacting with each other, watching a movie, skyping with friends and family back home or enjoying the African sun.

  So what exactly does one do on a Sunday in Windhoek?, while some of the guests at Elonga/Kleines Heim decided that they would spend their day at the Düsternbrook Safari Guest Farm. Situated only 45 min from Windhoek and tucked away in the Khomas Highland Mountains the guest farm gives guests the opportunity to come into contact with the Cheetahs and Leopards.

  In the picture one can clearly see how the cheetahs are jumping in the air to catch the meat chucks the guests are throwing to them. This is a true experience of wildlife as its very rare to get the opportunity to come so close to cheetahs and leopards without fearing for ones’ life.

  Düsternbrook Safari Guest Farm is indeed the best place to visit if you dont want to drive for long hours and if you want to see wildlife.

  Recently the Dining room and Living area at Elonga/Kleines Heim got a face-lift, what does one think of when you hear a colour combo of orange, black and white?.

  Well that is what the Dining and living area at Elonga/Kleines Heim have been repainted to. The initial idea behind the colours is to give it an African-Cultural theme. The colours fit well in with the dark brown wooden table in the dining room and the beautiful handmade crafts used to decorate it.

  The drums around... the dining area indicate the most universal musical instrument, the paintings hanging on the walls in both the dining and living room give a clear indication of culture. Who would have thought that the colour combination would work so perfectly?.

  WINDHOEK AT NIGHT

  ONE OF OUR STUDENTS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE AND CAPTURE WINDHOEK JUST AFTER SUNSET FROM THE FAMOUS SKY-BAR AT HILTON HOTEL.

  IN THE PICTURE ONE CAN CLEARLY SEE THE CITY LIGHTS AND BUILDINGS SURROUNDED BY THE MOUNTAINS AND THE CLOUDY SKY... FADED CLOUDS AND THE BEAUTIFUL ORANGE-RED COLOR THAT EMERGES JUST AFTER THE SUN SETS...

  Elonga / Kleines Heim offers comfortable bedroom facilities. We have dorm rooms that a shared by students and private rooms such as single and double rooms. We have en-suite bathrooms as well as Wi-Fi in all rooms.

  We have a conference room that has the capacity to accommodate a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 75 people. It is spacious giving room for free movement, has WiFi and air-conditioning. We also provide the projector and refreshments on request only. Venue is ideal for conferences and workshops.

  Horse Rider Therapist

  Looking for hardworking, enthusiastic and competent horse-ridring person that is willing to stay outside of Windhoek soon as possible.

  ...

  Tasks: - 2x weekly riding lessons of intensive occupation with horses breaking or train as reliable leisure and distance riding, horses preferably in the Western riding style or alternative, soft riding methods.

  Conditions: - Must remain alert as horses are sensitive and may get spooked. - Ability to visually assess horses and identify health issues. - Ability and pleasure to work with young people and to give them the sensitive and handling, smooth riding style and correct understanding of horses.

  With regard to horses: - must have very good riding skills, peaceful, non-violent handling knowledge of body language Anatomy and care. - Must be German-speaking.
