Casa Forno Restaurant is located in Otjiwarongo, Ramblers road, the cheetah capital of the world. The town is en-route to the lush green Caprivi, Etosha National Game park and Northern part of Namibia.
The Restaurant is a unique and one of a kind restaurant which was built and created from an old three bedroom house built in 1949. Renovations took us 7 months and we opened our doors on the 27th of May 2014.
The restaurant consists of three different areas and a bistro type fully licensed bar.
A big old “Heilboer Boon Tree” situated in the center of the garden in the open air part of the restaurant and creates a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. The play world keeps the children busy while the rest of the family can enjoy cocktails or a cold beer.
The “stoep” or veranda is elevated and look out onto the open air area. This design is a typical farm house style in Namibia. A man made fountain sprung from under the floor and flows into a bigger pond.
The enclosed area of the restaurant is upmarket, modern with a touch of romance. This is where real dining with candle light happens.
The food is served from an A-La Carte menu with a typical Namibian back lash. The different items are big portions with a homey influence. Eland, Oryx and Kudu steaks are frequently on the special menu and also feature on the A-La Carte menu.
The wood fired pizza oven is the biggest in Namibia. Pizzas are been baked using only the best fresh ingredients available.
Every morning at approximately 09h00, the freshly baked farm style bread is served fresh from the oven. This big pan loaf of bread is very popular with the locals buying whole loafs for their home.
The Restaurant opens at 06h30 with breakfast and only closes late at night, every day of the week except Sundays.
