2. To introduce meditation to the youth so that they develop stronger minds and greater discipline.
3. To educate people on amulets and the proper use of amulets.
4. To organize and invite great Gurus from Thailand and neighboring countries so that our families and followers can receive their blessings.
5. To promote good health and charity through blood donations and other donations.

SaanYakNak Meditation Centre was founded by Jacck Than and his brother, Than Hock Ying on Wesak Day, May 5 2012. Jacck’s involvement in Thai amulets started in 1993 when he heard of a great monk (L.P. Khun) in North Eastern Thailand who had helped many people with his power. Jacck decided to make a trip to visit the powerful monk. On his return to Malaysia after being blessed by L.P. Khun, Jacck received a call from a former General Manager offering him a new job in a car dealership. That was a turning point for Jacck.

Over the next few years, he collected many amulets from amulet dealers/shops, friends and monks. But he was greatly disappointed to discover that many of these amulets were reproductions, and yet cost hundreds and thousands of ringgit.

Jacck started to travel to Thailand often to learn about amulets from many people, including the great gurus. He also learnt how to differentiate between a genuine amulet and a reproduction. In a period that stretched 18 years and on average, 4 visits to different parts of Thailand every year, Jacck has collected over three thousand amulets and over a hundred statues of Buddha/great monks.

Jacck also learned a new meditation technique from his Master, Archan Boom Wit from Ang Thong province, Thailand.

In 2011, Jacck and his brother started plans to open a meditation centre. Jacck’s brother generously offered a house owned by him to be used as the premises for the meditation centre, free of rent. This was an opportunity for Jacck to teach others his unique meditation technique and to display his large collection of amulets. It was also a dream realized – to share with others his knowledge of Buddhism and his deep understanding of amulets.
