  OUTCRY OVER SELIMO'S APPOINTMENT TO MINE BOARD

  First, it was Pakalitha Mosisili who hired his close family members to top positions in govt and its entities.

  Now it is Motsoahae Thabane; he first appointed his son-in-law to be a Senator. Then later appointed him a minister.

  ...

  Second, he appointed his aging sister to a post in one of the foreign missions.

  And now, he has appointed one of his sons, Selimo Thabane, to be a member of Lesotho's pretigious mine board of directors - Lets'eng Diamond Mine.

  Who is next in the Thabane's family to get bread and butter?

  These are some of the views expressed by both opposition and government supporters who are disgusted by sheer nepotism being done under Mr Thabane's administration.

  "Lesotho is indeed a shithole country. One corrup leader replaces the other. Thabane claims to be fighting corruption but he is also corrupt." Says one of the angry pro government supporters.

  "What is the use of voting these people into power? Is it to put a ladder for their family members to climb to get access to golden apples?" So says another anti-nepotism critic.
