Last week we visited the "Beautiful Dream Society" as the second orphanage home to facilitate a motivational speech to motivate the children to continue school, study and to believe in their dreams, follow their path and most important to never give up! We talked with them about their futureplans and how they want to achieve it and also generally about their talents and self-confidence. It was a wonderful time and especially trough the games we played we felt immediately as a part of the family!

Homosexual conduct is taboo in society and is not openly discussed

I believe that LGBTI rights are a fundamental part of human rights. Through our programs and advocacy, we work closely with regional partners to fight discrimination and advance LGBTI human rights and include coverage of global LGBTI human rights in our reports and analyses.

Across the African continent, there has been an increasing recognition of the high HIV risks among these key populations. Moreover, thes...e HIV risks are in part driven by stigma and discrimination. While discrimination affects physical and mental well-being, it also impedes access to HIV prevention, testing, and treatment. These types of barriers lead to a diminished confidence in the Health system and a less than optimal and often non-existent engagement by LGBTI community members

I believe in solidarity to create safe spaces and psychological support programmes, and networking with other organizations to combat the ignorance and fear of working on sensitive issues such as homosexuality among other activists and human rights defenders across the world.

During my stay in the United States of America (USA) through Mandela Washington Fellowship 2018, I went to many organizations and places in New York and I have learned that they are doing so well on LGBTI programming and I promise to bring home good and productive programmes. The few things I recognized include the zebra cross painted with rainbow colors to raise awareness on LGBTI rights, Streets and clubs (bar) with flags and solidarity messages. There is much to take home.

The freedom to form Organisations has been a vital foundation of struggles for change. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1945 (Articles 19 and 20) has recognised that Civil Society Organizations play significant role in democratic process. This notion has also been incorporated in 1993 Lesotho Constitution, Section 16 (1) states that every persons shall be entitled to enjoyment and freedom to associate freely with other persons with similar purposes etc. Section 20 (1) (a) further states that every citizen of Lesotho shall enjoy the right to take part in conduct of public affairs, directly or through freely chosen representative. Let's take responsibility of our country and be accountable.
