    2ND HIGHER EDUCATION FAIR TO BE HELD ON 25TH – 26TH FEBRUARY 2015 AT THE LEHAKOE CLUB MULTI-PURPOSE SPORTS HALL (Exhibitions & Career Guidance) Organised by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) 1.0 Overall objective The overall objective of the Higher Education Fair is to provide information to the prospective tertiary students about higher education institutions in Lesotho and to provide the institutions with a platform to showcase their programmes and work.... 1.1 Specific Objectives The specific objectives of the Higher Education Fair are as follows: a) To provide higher education institutions with a platform to showcase their programmes; b) To enable prospective tertiary students to obtain necessary information on higher education in one place; c) To give financiers of tertiary students an opportunity to showcase their offerings; and d) To provide career guidance to the prospective tertiary students with a specific focus on career paths that are within the national priorities;

    2.0 Who Should Participate The Council on Higher Education has a mandate to provide information to the public on higher education, and to promote access to higher education. Pursuant to this, CHE will organise a Higher Education Fair to be held on 25th - 26th February 2015. The Fair is a unique opportunity for students preparing to apply and enrol at higher education institutions to obtain information on programmes offered by these institutions and their requirements as well as funding opportunities in one place. All recognised higher education institutions in Lesotho together with a few from South Africa and Botswana have been invited to put-up stalls and share information with the public. The National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS) as the main financier of students, together with financial institutions and other organisations that provide financial support towards education have been invited too to share information on financing students in tertiary institutions.

    There will be career guidance sessions as well, in which a line-up of highly experienced practicing professionals from various sectors will be assembled. All those who are planning to further their studies are invited to the Fair. It is also open to parents/guardians and high school students or indeed anyone who is interested. The programme will be the same for the two days so that those who come on either the first or second day do not miss out. If you come on the first day you do need to come back on the second day because the second day will be a repeat of day-one for both exhibitions and career guidance sessions.
