CAFÉ WHAT? What is that?
Café What? is a creative space supporting all forms of creative art. It is a fusion of an incubation space, gallery, bar, coffee shop, performance and discussion space. We will utilize the place as a platform for interactions, collaborations, exchange of ideas, expression and creativity.
Café What? will offer:

OUR PHILOSOPHY
The space is creative, inclusive, safe and inspiring. It is an artistic and inspiring place that creates a sense of belonging and freedom.The space will not accept any form of discrimination.
An effort will be made to make the space a green space. We will recycle and re-use waste from the facility. We will source our teas, coffees and food from ethical producers and will support local indigenous producers.
OUR PLACE
The location of Café What? is the Industrial area near Moshoeshoe Road in the city of Maseru. It is in the road between Browns Cash & Carry and the Ministry of Forestry and Land Reclamation which are on Senate Street. The place is a vintage red brick warehouse. Parking is available.

Join us tonight at 6pm for the launch of the international exhibition "Rambling 22" by the Lesotho born artist Mpho Molikeng. The Red Revolt (1922) was one of the biggest and most destructive strikes in South Africa. Rambling 22 exhibition serves as an artistic expression/impression and a window of events surrounding the Red Revolt strike in the Rand.
Cafe What? is honored to be hosting an international exhibition "Rambling 22" by the Lesotho born artist Mpho Molikeng. Rambling 22 exhibition serves as an artistic expression/impression and a window of events surrounding the Red Revolt strike in the Rand. Join us for the launch of the exhibition on Friday the 6 July at 6pm. The exhibition runs until 3 August. "Rambling 22" first opened at the Workers Museum in Newton, Johannesburg. Mpho just completed a South African tour with Casey Stacey and Lucas Furcussi. He is a visiting Lecturer at Wits University and Fort Hare University. He has written articles for Music in Africa portal and SAGE International Encyclopaedia of Music and Culture on the music of Lesotho.

The screening is hosted in collaboration with Alliance Francaise de Maseru as part The Other People's Festival, organized by Refugee Social Services, to support World Refugee Day.
The film is about a rebel fighter who is captured. The government is eager to make this a show trial but the rebel fighter begins to talk, revealing his past as a child soldier.A young, promising lawyer is the only person willing to take the case. In the process, the whole web of trafficking and his story come to light. French with English subtitles
