We came to this restaurant to take a dinner as a part of tour. It was a buffet style. BBQ, fresh salad, everything tasty!
Huuuuuge portion. I think one breakfast can eat 2people ( girls) . Price compare with mainland’s place high, but you pay for huge portions. This time I ordered omelet with vegetable, they served it with 4 piece of breads and interesting jam. But do not order black ice coffee, is huge and so biter... better go for hot coffee or fresh/ smoothie( is big and nice) . Tomorrow I will try pancakes 😋
Amazing buffet - Large variety of seriously good food which apparently changes each day. There are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. It's slightly pricey ($8 at time of review) but $1 from each guest goes to the local community and the leftover food goes to those in need. They have a great system to stop food wastage too. The staff are really friendly. You can not come to M'pai Bei without having dinner here at least once! Book your ticket earlier in the day as it does fill up, or you can come later (around 8pm) after some people have left - there is still a lot of food remaining.
Amazing food, fair price! We have been there 2 times out of 5 days..highly recommended. Especially the pork was the best one so far!
Vegan, vegetarian and gluten are signed!
Nice food. Nice staff. Nice ambience and views :)
A wonderful place up on the hill with a large buffet and amazing staff! They have a myriad of vegan and vegetarian dishes, and grilled meat and fish if you’re up for that.
It's a brilliant idea of doing business on the island. And they are doing it pretty good, modern, well organized and well-thought-out.
You can buy a ticket for a buffet in a place right in front of a main pier and also at the restaurant. The restaurant is located in a peaceful place a bit outside of the village , 5-10 mins walk from the main pier.
The restaurant is well designed, clean, has a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is friendly and well trained.
The food is okay. They have different sections: main, grilled, tempura, desserts. They offer vegetarian options as well.
The owners are nice and very stylish local couple. They are doing a good job with running a business in a modern way no worst but better than many foreigners.
I would say that it's a bit pricey: 8$ and drinks are not included.
Amazing location. Offering every day a buffet in the evening with different kind of food (a lot of vegetarian and vegan options too). We also tried the breakfast "fishing hook breakfast for 2 persons" and it was incredible! Definetly recommend everyone to visit this beautiful restaurant with nice english speaking staff and lovely made fresh food.
Best food we had on the island. Incredible spread of all you can eat meat/seafood, vegan dishes and deserts.
Get reservations ahead of time, but they do offer walk-ins based on day of availability.
I am working at delicious food I ate your meal with. Easy tiger I feel so happy that you were friendly with us also great buffets I will be back
The best buffet! The place itself is amazing, the staff was lovely and so was the food. We got there a bit late so we couldn't enjoy all the fish but still we loved it!!! and the price is very reasonable!
The 6 $ (1 $ goes to children medical care on the island) all you can eat buffet was the best food we had on the whole trip. Don't miss it. Please!
Amazing Vegetarian and Seafood Buffet Restaurant with an amazing cause!! All the leftovers after the buffet go to people in the community who are hungry and can't afford food. Offers a huge selection of high quality food with lots of vegetarian options and a large seafood BBQ. There was Prawns (as many as you wanted), Tuna and Squid on the BBQ the night we visited. $6 per person. It's suggested you reserve in advance, they were turning customers away at the door.
Beautiful buffet. All vegan and veggie. Every dish is delicious. Some of the tastiest food I've ever had. So many flavours. There is a BBQ as well huge portions of fish chicken and endless prawns. Banana fitters were the best of my life. All the leftovers go to locals. Shame they don't do this in more places.
