Wonderful.clean friendly Jamaica hotel. Goid location between airport nd dock. Across from beavh and park walk to margaritaville and pelican restaurant . nice quiet pool at top. Wonderful welcoming staff. Great value. 🌴😃
Staff was amazing, but rooms were noisy and very dated. Breakfast was the same everyday with the exception of Sunday. Great location.
Poor customer service. . Felt doors on rooms need to be more secure, especially the ones that open out to the balcony to the back.. food is average. .
The Wexford Hotel is a nice place to stay. I didn't know anything about Wexford Hotel the driver recommend the hotel. The young ladies at the desk were very pleasant and didn't even give me attitude when I asked to see the room first because I'm very particular about the bathroom. The young lady said to me yes you can look and you will like it and for sure I did. I stay 5 nights and the breakfast everyday was good and the the housekeeper very pleasant. I would recommend the Wexford Hotel to my friends and family. ❤👏💯
Clean, cool and close to the airport. Great spot for seeing and staying in Montego Bay
This hotel is located directly in front of Old Hospital Park, NOT on the beach, as the picture on the website indicates. Beach access is actually a relatively short walk further down and across the street. The Wexford is on the 'hip strip', a bustling section that never sleeps... but neither can the hotel guests! The rooms facing the front of the hotel offer a beautiful view of the ocean, but the rooms are in dire need of updating, and offered nothing, aside from the view, that was inviting. The room was furnished with very old, drab, minimalistic furniture. Our room was dark, as if the hotel used low wattage bulbs. Even the bathroom was quite dim. I will say though, that our room was clean.
There was no fridge, or microwave, and the in-room safe, which looked like something out of the 1950's, was unusable. The king sized bed was too firm/hard, and we awoke somewhat achy each day as a result. The walls between the rooms were thin, as we could hear the guests next door conversing. The WiFi in the room was pretty much non-existent, unless you were in the lobby. The elevator was quite old, very small, and a bit rickety, in my opinion. We mostly used the stairs. The AC worked fine. The cable TV channels were grainy, and during the last 2 days of our stay, there was NO TV access AT ALL for the entire hotel, as well as some other establishments nearby due to the cable service going out. There was no compensation for this inconvenience, as the management said it was not their fault, and out of their control. Service wasn't restored until the day we were leaving. The food was decent, but each day we were told they were out of something; whole wheat bread for breakfast toast on one morning, diet/light soda, ice cream, lettuce for a Caesar salad. The WORST part of our stay at the Wexford was the extreme nightly blasting of music from a nightclub 2 doors away. Trying to sleep was impossible, and it got louder during the night and continued until 4/4:30AM...EVERY NIGHT. Complaints were made by a number of guests; the staff at the front desk logged complaints with the police as well, which resulted in the establishment temporarily toning down the volume, but the disturbance continued again after about an hour's time. We were there 7 days. NEVER AGAIN.
This hotel caters to a simple way of life. There is noise due to renovations taking place. But if you want a place to rest your head for a few days without anyone bothering you much then this the place to be. They do have an active gym. The people were friendly and very welcoming. Some things may not always work. (Cable and internet) But that gives enough time for you to unplug from a busy world.
This placed looks OK on the outside. The room smells like an attic and the dust are visible, needs some serious deep cleaning. Safe does not work in room, this was advertised as one of the amenities. Such a disappointment.
The staff were friendly and helpful. I did the bed and breakfast option - the room was clean and well kept, the breakfast was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this location to any one who happens to be in Montego Bay.
Great price for rooms including great Jamaican breakfast, complimentary drink on arrival and free shuttle to the airport . I also had a fabulous view of the city from my room.
The stay could have been better....the staff was okay. It really turned me off on checkin when they tried to give me two double beds with no view when i paid for a king size bed with ocean front. Then when i arrived the front desk told me they had just put my reservation in their system. Really! It took you all 2 days to that? Wifi doesnt work period in any room nor downstairs so if you really need wifi during your stay forget about it. Also if you need to use their phone to call any number if you are on the call longer than 3 minutes they charge you. Breakfast was garbage so much for continental, seems this hotel forgot they cater to tourist, the fried dumpling and hard food was fine, but who the hell are you all serving kidney and cut up franks to? So disgusting. I do have to say the room was clean but the place need renovating bad. All in all this hotel is not good for a vacation maybe for only 1-2 days stay.
Bed and Breakfast.. good 1 day conference/meeting location
I booked the best room ocean view kingsize bed. The room smell like paint guess it was freshly painted, very uncomfortable smell, the room phone wasn't working, the tv remote wasn't working, the a/c wasn't working properly had 2 use a fan, wifi wasn't working. Customer service & front desk was very unprofessional they would rather lie to you than try to address your problem. On my third night After sweating my ass off in my room i demanded a room change after arguing with front desk about their lieing and evasive behavior. The elevator is a death trap very old should be put out of service. The breakfast sucks brown stew chicken, boil & fry dumplings everyday. Hotel beautiful view & access to private beach but the room & furniture are old. Staff including manager needs serious training on customer service....
Very nice little hotel though on the pricer side of life. Still very nice, a very good location. Locate across from a park and a few locations to dine out.
Decent hotel, good location, walking distance to a lot of stuff and the beach is right across the street. Some of the rooms aren't sound proofed very well and you can hear a lot of noise from the street. Great staff and good service, I'd stay here again.
We went there for our anniversary and the room wasn't ready despite booking well in advance and to add insult to injury when we asked if the room was set up for our anniversary because it was stated in the booking that it was our anniversary we we told that if we wanted flowers we had to purchase them off property and give them to the staff to set it up.Front desk staff not properly attired, rooms smell of smoke , elevator does not work, breakfast is piss poor the place is rundown need maintenance some rooms had roaches I saw one on my balcony so I retreated to my room. There is no refrigerator also if you ask for ice you will be asked where is your container the remainder of the guest had the same complaints as I and the mangers and supervisors are evasive and will not address your concerns. This place is a no no...
