Really good school but I feel like it's too strict on the children..let kids be kids
Just a bunch of bottom shelf bitter unprofessional man problem "women" that work here. Heart dirty like muck. Don't even try to call them about anything. They either don't answer or the serpent that does is unprofessional and put you on hold and nobody answers, it's favorite line is hold a second. I'm a past student and nothing has changed it seems when it comes to the teachers and the "women" that work in the office. They come to work with their man problem and take it out on you.
I've sent them multiple emails about my transcript and no answer. The worst high school in Jamaica. The worst
Large & clean compound with a lot of trees for shade. I visited on a Saturday so not many students were around, just a few practicing for different activities. This indicated that the school caters to the holistic development of the students. I was here for a cook off competition. Their food lab is nicely organized, fully equipped and is student friendly. It is divided into individual food preparation areas. Each area is equipped with a stainless steel table, a stove and a sink. This made it easy for students to prepare their meals simultaneously without bumping into or inconveniencing each others. Other high schools across the island should consider using this layout for their foods labs.
The St Hugh's High School for Girls is a wonderful institution. It not only focuses on academia but on the physical, spiritual and emotional well being of all their swans and cygnets. They offer a myriad of clubs, societies and sports to ensure the development of well rounded individuals who will make unforgettable contributions to society. The principal, Deaconess Dr Elaine Cunningham, treats all 1500+ students as her own daughters, nurturing us and guiding us through all obstacles we face as a body. Fidelitas ✨ Faithfulness and Loyalty ✨ 1899 till now, 119 years of excellence. Je suis vraiment fier d'être un étudiant de cette institution.

I'm a proud past student of this prominent institution. I love this school and if I should have a child (daughter) someday, she will be attending my alma mater.
St. Hugh's was not my original school of choice. But God had a plan. This all girls school prepared me for who I am today. I graduated 33 years ago. And I still have vivid memories of my classes, my teachers and my principal back then Miss Marjory Thomas. I still maintain that this is a fine institution preparing young girls for the future. Thank you St. Hugh's.
