The Good: This is a beautiful Resort! The pools are crystal clean, warm, inviting, and every bit as beautiful as the photos show. The beach too is wonderful: white sand with palm branch umbrellas. They have created coves in the ocean so you can enjoy the clear ocean water without the dangers. The grounds and the resort complex, including restaurants, as a whole are wonderful....there is plenty to do without ever leaving the safety of the gated resort. The service is in every way fantastic - in the room, at the desk, at the restaurants or coffee bars, cleaning staff, servers even bringing drinks to you on the beach. The smiling staff seems genuinely happy to be working there and happy to help you with anything you need. The food in the many restaurants is quite good, particularly the Italian place - even as odd as that may seem. The fresh fruits and pastries you can find daily are a special treat: they are amazing.

The NOT so good: The only part of the resort with which I was unhappy were a few issues with the Guest Room itself. Unfortunately, these issues left me with an unhappy remembrance of our time there. The bathroom was huge with both a tub and a shower, as well as a separate toilet compartment. Unfortunately, the bathroom had no exhaust fan and also very poor circulation. This meant that even though clean, the shower often smelled musty when you got in. And, the toilet compartment was nice to have, but tended to hold bad smells. The entire floor was tile, which the cleaning staff did mop daily. But, even in a day, the floor got dirty enough that you couldn't really walk around in bare feet unless you wanted to track dirt into your bed: there were no carpets to wipe your feet anywhere. The biggest, baddest issue: the bed. I did not expect the kind of extravagant, top of the line mattress I have at home, but....at this hotel's price range, I did expect a good quality, comfortable mattress. Sadly, the mattress was old and in poor shape. Having a bad back, I slept very badly every night. If you have no trouble sleeping, this is a fantastic place to stay! I personally might try this resort again, but I would either get some kind of assurance that the mattress is first rate before I book a room, or (absolutely, sincerely) send a memory foam topper to the hotel and insist it's installed on my bed before I arrive.

I stayed at the Hyatt Ziva in 2015 and I absolutely loved it! This year it was horrible! I paid for a ocean front view and they gave me a pool view and told us it would be a extra 119 a night if I wanted ocean view when I booked ocean view! Last year wifi was free this year they give you slow wifi for free and highspeed you have to pay 15 dollars per day the also had free cabanas last year they are charging for them now! The food wasn't nearly as good as it was in 2015 they have cut corners in many many different ways and went up on their prices! I spoke to a manager and he ended up getting very rude! This is NOT a 5 star resort and if you are looking for one don't book this resort! Also my entire stay they told me they Ran out of mango mix to make a bob Marley drink and I was there for 6 days which is quite ridiculous considering we are in Jamaica on vacation and the bob Marley is a major drink there! I ranted a raved about this resort last year and this trip was extremely disappointing! If you want 5 stars go to the Sandals or Beaches their service never changes and neither does the quality!

I would like to take the opportunity to thank the staff at Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall, Jamaica. I normally do not take the time to write a review but I have just returned from this resort with family and friends for my daughters wedding. We had 2 wedding ceremonies while there. The first was an Indian ceremony and the second a traditional Christian ceremony. The wedding planner Julianne and her staff did an amazing job with both and should be commended. I also want to acknowledge a couple of staff members that went out of their way to make our stay a good one. Kevin our server at breakfast and lunch in the outdoor buffet area and Tareka from banquets that worked our receptions and cocktail gatherings. Both of these people showed us the true meaning of Jamaican hospitality. I wish you all the very best and hope to see you again.

I would highly recommend the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall in Jamaica for all families that are looking for a relaxing and fun place to go. We stayed there in July for 9 days and were very impressed with the property, the staff, and the food. I am so happy that we decided to stay at the Hyatt. We almost stayed at the Riu and I can tell you 100 percent the Hyatt is a 5 star resort and they forget nothing. The entertainment was amazing and the kids had the best vacation they have ever had and we travel often. Kelly-Ann Robinson was amazing they are so lucky to have her!!!! She was kind and very helpful and amazing. We loved her!! My girls who are 11 and 9 years old danced with her and she helped to make their vacation the most memorable vacation yet!!! We will for sure be returning to the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall. Just to mention some of the staff that was over the top for us, I will give a true shout out to Shantou, Monica, Shanae, Sophia Velesha, Ameika and many others The staff at the candy shop, the staff at the gift shop and all of the team around the pool and the beach. Thank you very much for making our vacation fun and relaxing!! We will never forget all that you did for us!! Thank you again Miss Kelly-Ann Robinson!!!!

Fantastic property that shares the grounds with Hyatt Zilara. Good food places and they have a rock wall that keeps the ocean from beating in. The grounds are really beautiful and they ALWAYS have security on the grounds to protect the customers.
