I loved this hotel and I am a picky, worrisome individual. From beginning to end, I enjoyed myself and cannot wait to return. I relied HEAVILY on the Google/Trip Advisor comments while searching for a place to stay and these reviews did not lie. Check-in was a breeze and the ambiance and views were amazing. Beach water and pool water felt awesome! I was definitely nervous being this was my first time to Jamaica, but I had a blast. A lady at the resort helped set my group up with an excursion. Driver was on time. The airport shuttles to and from the hotel were on time. The hotel food was great (men do have to wear pants to eat at some of the restaurants). Temperature in my room was great. All of the employees were super friendly. The karaoke bar was hilarious Saturday night. All in all, a wonderful vibe. I would have given 5 stars, however there were some tiny ants guarding my bathroom door. Other than that, I had no issues with anything.

Definitely not 5 star but not bad either. Good Service and food.Did not get that wow factor! They do not have real room service just like 4 snacks and limited breakfast. I like I was able to go to all three resorts.

This is our second time back to this resort and I can honestly say it is the best resort we have ever been to. The staff truly makes your vacation spectacular. You can tell that they love what they do by the way they treat each and every guest. Many staff members singing and dancing the day away as they interact with you. We will definitely be back in the near future.

Fantastic hotel, probably the best we have stayed in. Wonderful location with direct access to hotel beach and sea.
Extensive variety of food at each meal, of excellent quality.
Attentive and very friendly staff. They really made the holiday special.
    Spotlessly clean. Maintenance instantly responsive
Appreciated availability of taxis in hotel grounds. Visible security all round hotel very reassuring.

The staff is nice. The food is amazing. The hotel could use some major upgrades though. The rooms, well at least the room I had, was not well ventilated with regards to the toilet room. The toilet had its own room but the rest of the bathroom is out in the open which is awkward. I was awoken Everytime my partner got up to use the bathroom because he had to turn on the light and wash his hands in the sink which is right next to the bed. It's just a bad design. Also the lighting in the room is horrible. Other than my nit-picking about the room, I enjoyed everything else.

We went for honeymooniversary in November 2017 and had a wonderful time. The staff was very nice and courteous. We did have to call to the front off car once because of fridge hadn’t been restocked. They came immediately and restocked everything even the wall dispensers which were fine. The rooms were cleaned every single day. We had access to the two sisters resorts next door, which was awesome. We can’t wait to go back and yes we will be staying here again.

My stay in general was memorable experience! the staff are the very best! And the food in all the restaurant was on top. The room decor is top notch but could do definitely with a de-humidifier! My clothes were very damp and the room in general felt wet!

Brilliant place to unwind. Staff can't do enough for you. Even though its quiet, you've got the option to go next door, to the Riu Reggae, where's there's a lot more entertainment but its very noisy and energetic. But I just say I really enjoyed my stay here and I'll definitely be returning.

This place is absolutely amazing!! Staff is above professional and personable. I would come back every time possible. The beach is gorgeous. It is all inclusive so they treat you like royalty!! The rooms are amazing as well. Jacuzzi tub, Jacuzzi on the balcony with ocean front view. Lovely shower as well. The food is great and drinks are out this world! A must see place for sure.

This was a beautiful hotel that was also very clean. The Riu has a club which is just walking distance from the Palace. Food could be better but there is a lot to choose from so almost anyone can find something they like. Huge buffets as well. Room was nice. Beautiful views and their prices are not over the top. Drink were very well done. Staff were friendly and extremely accomodating. They should be very proud of the people they have working there.

Im not sure that I've ever left a Google review for anything ever, but since leaving this place 24 hours ago I knew I had to leave something. First off, I had an amazing time staying in this country at the Palace! The staff here is amazing and extremely attentive to you. From the moment we arrived we were being waited on more than I ever could have expected. Our rooms were cleaned at least twice a day and whenever we made additional requests we were taken care of quickly (no matter the hour). Everyone working here was so open to sharing their personal lives with me which I am grateful for. This country and this hotel truly has a piece of my heart and I learned so much from them. I will definitely be back to stay here, and I highly recommend this location to anyone (so long as you're an adult). It's nice having the option of staying on the Palace side when I want to relax a bit more, and then also head to one of the sister properties when I wanted the energy of other people. No matter where you are you will be taken care of!

I was cruising on the Carnival Freedom and chose an afternoon to the resort as an excursion. The resort picked us up at the dock and brought us to the hotel. It was fast, friendly, and safe travel. Once we got to the hotel we were ushered in with a smile. All given wristbands and shown to both the pools and the ocean access. Everything was beautiful. The staff went beyond at every request and the provided drinks and buffet were excellent. I would happily recommend the excursion to anyone traveling to Jamaica.

This past week was absolutely amazing! I went for a big birthday and I was apart of a party of four.

This destination has an amazing staff from the security at the curbside, every person in between and all the way to the lifeguards at the beach hands down. The accommodations, in my opinion, were top notch. They really make you feel like family. The words that come to mind are attentive, responsive, genuine, efficient, kind, helpful and so much fun. Every team in its entirely went above and beyond to make sure it was home away from home. The experience was personalized and interactive. I would have a four page review if I went into any details. Bottom line I highly recommend this location and I will be back again.

Loved this location. The front desk personnel were wonderful, in particular Brian made our stay so pleasant. What a sweet and kind man, really enjoyed him and his help. The bar staff were fun and energetic, shout out to Richard and Christopher. My only complaint would be the female staff persons, not all but a large majority are openly and outwardly rude. Only word I can use, no need to show such disdain for your customers, especially tipping customers. Keep it to yourself, be professional. I saw reverse discrimination and as it might be expected from some, I expected a 5 star resort to train their employees to leave the attitudes at home. The cleanliness and beaches were and are top notch. Food was nothing to write home about, it was sustenance with a few sprinkled in delights. All in all a wonderful trip at the Riu. Word of caution do not book with Pleasant Holiday for excursions, you WILL be disappointed. The snorkeling and trip to Margarita Ville departs right from the Riu Reggae, do that one!!!

My wife and I stayed at the Palace for 2 weeks from the 1st March. The Hotel is one of three on the complex - as guests at the Palace we could use all three sets of facilities but the other two could not come into ours. In our opinion we considered ourselves fortunate to be in the Palace. It was a luxurious hotel with comfortable rooms. The choice and quality of food was very good. The quality of service was also very good albeit that generous tipping on a continuous basis is expected, but that is always the case when Americans and Canadians are around in large numbers.

My wife and I look for the positives on holiday, and there were many at the Riu Palace. Sun beds were always available and you could always find shade. Overall we enjoyed the holiday and the hotel.

One experience that we didn't enjoy was on one occasion when we crossed over into the Hotel Riu Monetego Bay. For some reason local traders were allowed to paddle their canoes onto the private beach and they were being plied with drinks by locals from the all inclusive beach bar whilst security just stood bye. The worst time was when a woman, who we were later told was security supervisor, arrived and started screaming something at the traders. We couldn't understand the spoken language but it was obvious that she was telling them to clear off. She was quickly accosted by local men who grabbed her arm and shouted in her face literally nose to nose. The whole incident lasted about five minutes and it was unsavoury. Staff at the hotel live cheek by jowl in the same areas outside of the hotel as the local gangs and the message was clear.

Traders were not in evidence at the Palace, but Jamaica is a dangerous country outside of organised trips, secure areas and few other places - much more so than any other country that we have been to, and we have travelled a great deal. Paradise it is not, and we would not go back.

Great hotel, very modern and clean. Beach is small but well kept. Can't say enough about the staff, they really do make this place what it is. A little low key for an all adults only hotel but you have access to the adjoining Riu's that have more action. Restaurants are good, buffet average, top shelf liquor not really top shelf especially if you are a vodka drinker. Planes flying overhead a bit annoying but you get used to it. Will return next year!

Staff is super friendly, though too friendly at times (two women traveling together received advances). Housekeeping was awesome. Food is great except for room service - we suspect as a means to get people to come out of their rooms. Lots of activities.
