This is THE place to get all the local and imported items you need from meats, cheese, alcohol, snacks, they have it ALL no need to look else where, but this all comes at a hefty price!!! The environment is emaculately clean, air conditioned and I particularly enjoy their fruit salad made fresh daily. Customer service over the years have dwindled staff hardly notices the customers and rarely offers assistance, they often ignore u while carrying out their tasks nonchalantly. There is more than adequate parking as the store faces a huge parking lot and in case u happen to park farther than a couple feet away they do have person who will assist u in towing your groceries. This store was, still is a pioneer in innovative and convenient supply.

Went in here a few times. It is a typical Jamaican store. The last time I got annoyed as they told my husband to leave his backpack with the 3 employees standing there doing nothing but this. Seems they could have been pulling out of date products instead since on other visits I had noticed several products out of date. I went back and got the backpack as I dont see how I can trust them to not steal our stuff which was nore valuable than any groceries.They could just look in the bag when leaving. They lost my business that day.

Luv, Luv, Luv this store!! As an American who now lives in Jamaica I sometimes want to cook some dishes from home. I can find everything I need @ General Foods...from cheddar cheese, to sour cream, relish to Doritos, to alfredo sauce, parmesan & ground chuck. It's all here. Add to the mix a friendly staff & great location and you've got a 5 star rating.

My wife and I came here for jerk spices & marinades and this place had *everything* at prices a fraction of gift shops. If you're looking for great spices to bring back home, skip the overpriced kitschy gift shops and come here.

For some reason as of today (2017-07-22) the store is described as an "Asian grocery store." It's not Asian, it's a regular Jamaican grocery store.
