I've been to Negril 15+ times. I have never been drugged and robbed in my room while I slept with my wife, like I was on Feb. 8th, 2015 between 4-6 am. I would never again stay at Foote Prints! If you decide not to heed this warning, I suggest you not stay on the 1st floor. This had to be an inside job.

My wife & I feel like either the bartender slipped us a mickey or our room was sprayed with KO gas. We went to bed at 9:30 woke up at 6 am & our room had been ransacked. Neither of us heard a thing. We also both were very groggy and sleepy all day as we filled out police reports and tried to salvage our trip.

We ended up going to another hotel as both of us were afraid of what might happen next. They stole my iPhone 6, cash, credit cards & license. The thieves just took my wife's wallet and discarded it on the beach and we were able to limp through the rest of our time in Jamaica.

It was so sad & disappointing.

Jamaica is a unique culture and Footeprints is a great resort to get the island's vibe.
It is small; bare bones; clean and simple.
The staff is polite, professional and helpful. We enjoyed the Europeans at the hotel. It is a quiet and relaxing place.
If you want a big resort "homogenized" holiday, this is Not the place for you. You feel like you're in Jamaica; not at an all inclusive "compound".
    We felt safe and welcome.
The rooms are very simple. The hot water goes out sometimes, and the staff is small, so things happen on island time. Lots of great restaurants off & on the beach.
I think it's important to support the smaller resorts like this, as the big ones are so powerful and entice people to not have to "think" about where they really are.
If you want to feel like you're experiencing the Carribean , this is a good place.
Problems are addressed and taken care of which is what really matters.
    Good value.
