Damage Control NYC is a revolutionary dancehall reggae group based out of Brooklyn NY bringing artists, dancers, promoters & DJs under a single umbrella. It is the brain child of four Brooklyn based artists who decided to bring together their creative efforts to create a force and dominate their local market. The group was officially started on January 1st 2008 after a series of freestyle/jam sessions. The earliest members of the group (Fire Ras, Dappa Diesel, War Professa) realized that there was no unity in the dancehall community in Brooklyn and that by bringing their collective talents together they would create a force to be reckoned with bout locally and internationally.

Since launch, the group as enjoyed much success as a group with tracks like “Pop My Guinness”, “Tonight”, “We Lock Di World”, as well as their individual talents War Professa (“Beg Yuh A Lisa Hype”, “Subliminal Badman”), Fire Ras (“I Fucked Your Girl”, “Tell Me What You Like”), Dappa Diesel (“Swagga Dagga Wine”, “Hunt Fi Di Green”), Star (“Blu-ray Fuck”, “You is a Star”). These days what started off as a 10 person group has grown to well over 20 members and affiliates. Most recently the group added another artist to the team BoyZe who is already creating waves with songs like “What I Wanna Do” and “When You Need Love”.

Since the launch in January 2008, the group has worked on several tracks like “Come Cross”, “Tonite”, “Damage Control” and “War in Stock”. They have been working very closely with established and upcoming engineers like, “The Architeks”, “Jamala Ent” and “Xyclone”. The group has played host to numerous radio interviews and a few television interviews aired on CIN. Also, the group was chartered to do a song for the recently deceased “Raw Dawg” who was on the rise before he was brutally killed. The group did two tribute songs which were very well received by friends, family and other members of the Brooklyn Dancehall community. Looking forward to 2011 and beyond the group hope to continue growing, doing more shows, producing more hit records, several mixtapes and albums, touring and maintaining they place as the most talented camp in New York.
