Rented a hiace bus for 2days no complain...customer service was ok

Affordable rentals you would expect. They are right on the highway - May Pen bypass. Different types of vehicles attract different rates.
Cash and credit cards are accepted, but the use of cards attract a 3% service charge. This was my first time checking to see what the rates are like, but I feel like I'll be penalized for using my credit card.
Have been renting from them for almost 5 years now. Excellent service. I do not see myself renting from anywhere else. Only con is that they don’t offer insurance so you are fully responsible for any damages cause by you. Love these guys though

Am from Florida and there customer service is outstanding. Its is said that jamaica business place does not have customer service from my view they dont. But carren car rental is the place to go.
Wouldn't give them my money again, one little prang and they with old your whole deposit....and for a car that was a hot mess to begin with
This is our experience with Carren Limited rent-a-car company on August 10, 2014. Upon return of the rental car to the May Pen location in Clarendon on Aug. 10th we advised the mechanic and office that the car was not running so well, therefore a new car should be provided for the trip from Clarendon to Montego Bay ( a 3hr drive). However the driver ( who is an employee of Carren Limited was hired by us to drive us to Montego Bay) advised the car would be fine and that there was not another care available to fit our family of 7 people.
Less than half way through the trip to Montego Bay the driver had to pull the car over twice due to some kind of engine problem. By the third time he pulled over he advised he needed to get the car to a mechanic. Fortunately there was a mechanic shop a few yards from where we were. Upon inspection by the mechanic the driver advised the car would not be able to make it further to Montego Bay. The driver made a few phone calls and advised us that another driver with an SUV type car was on the way from Clarendon to pick us up to take us to Montego Bay. With the car not functioning properly and waiting for a new car to pick us up it took approx 2 hours. Considering the heat and having to wait in a very precarious place with 4 children ages 2yrs, 6yrs , 9yrs and 10yrs old, the trip was extremely unpleasant. The driver tried to make up time by driving speedily but only manage to make us all nausea's.
The staff and driver were very kind, however we are very displeased how the situation was handled as it could have been avoided by using a better working vehicle. I initially wanted to continue using Carren Limited's services in the future but after several calls and emails, even speaking and emailing the owner himself, there was nothing they wanted to do as a service recovery effort, except refund me $400 Jamaican dollars which is less than $4 USD.
I will NEVER use them again.
