One of the best places to be on a night or day out with your friends. they always have cool movies and snacks are great as well. if planning to go as a group best to do so on a Tuesday so you can benefit from their two-for-one deal but ensure you buy you tickets early.
Went there with my daughter for her birthday it was august 31st.the experience was so good.my daughter is six n it was her first time there.she loved it but saying she was cold.she wanted to go there the next week.always love going there.
Carib is in one of the best places for date night with your bae, hang out with friends/family with large theatres showing the latest movies. You will have the time of your life !!!!!!😎😎😎😄😄😀
Always a pleasant experience. I would recommend buying tickets online as the lines tend to be fairly long
The location is spacious. The service received is deserving of a return date with some friends 😂.
The menu options were good.
The restroom was immaculate. The attendant in the restroom was kind. Such care and assistance, rare with Jamaicans.
It was refreshing to experience that.
The theatre was clean and conducive us watching the movie.
Best place in Kingston to go see a movie.... the cinema here comes to life. It's always a good experience for me, my family and friends.
One of the most popular place for entertainment for all including families( once family movies are out). Get there early and try buying tickets online.
Great place to watch a movie on the big screen. But Palace Amusement needs to sort out the waiting in line thing, especially for the late movies. Arriving early for a movie means waiting in line for a long time outside before you get into the lobby, then waiting some more inside to get into the cinema. You run the risk of being trampled once they open the barrier. This lack of crowd control ruins the whole movie going experience.
The premier sport for watching movies in Kingston, Jamaica. It's 5 cinemas make it versatile and flexible entertainment. There is a rich cultural experience when you watch movies there.. the people!!
I've been quite a few times and the location is great, central to many food spots and bus terminals. The theatre itself is very nice, spacious and the picture quality in he movie was great. The amenities look upgraded from when I went last and it was welcomed. The food items are somewhat pricey though.
Lovely place. They work pretty fast here. N their faces r always friendly.
Great movie experience. Good size screen and sound quality. Decent concession stand. Clean bathrooms
I love this theatre. It carries a wide variety of movies and snacks.
I only wish the time for the 5pm movies could change to 5:30...because I am always late when coming from work and I am usually forced to sit real close to the screen.
All cinema rooms are adequately sized and has very good A/V equipment. The food is inexpensive, staff are kindly and the overall facility is clean. It's a good place to hang with friends and even chill by yourself.
Good theater but after booking my ticket online I had a rough time with their automated kiosk. It was almost non responsive. Everything else here is great though.
Its okay as far as the operation (except food, prices are a bit too high) is concerned and the staff. My issues, when I have them are usually with the patrons who insist on disturbing others or just being inconsiderate on a whole to their fellow man. For now I can't avoid it, so I just have to cope. I hope one day the cinema will get to a point where I can use personal headphones to listen to the movie...it would be a dream come true. Even as the prices increase, I will still visit because their a some movies that simply need to be seen on the big screen 😁😁😁 keep up the good work guys ....oh and half off Mondays and Tuesdays is gold 👍
Great place for family. The prices are high though. But it provides a great experience for the kids.
Nice relaxing place to take in a movie. Their boss could pass for George Lucas 🤔😂
Decent on the inside. Pricey food but tastes fine. Less kids around than the one at Sovereign Centre.
Spacious. Lots of cinemas. Nice food. Good price. Great service
Always a good place to go for movies. Food still a bit pricey. Their 2 for 1 experience was an excellent idea
It's the Jamaican movie going staple. ... decent technology in place only wish they'd find a happy cooler temperature setting for the climate control.
Good place to catch a movie, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food is tasty but a bit pricey. Note that because the place is so popular the lines are usually long. Point of note is that their rest rooms are always clean and equipped with the necessary toiletries. However I have an issue with wheelchair access to some of their show rooms especially 1 and 2; if you're wheelchair bound and your movie is scheduled for either rooms, you won't have access without help from staff to climb the stairs.
Big cinema rooms. Comfortable seating. Affordable refreshments and all the current movies available. Also live opera. Great for family/friend/romantic night
Food is overly expensive and the options are limited. It is usually well clean and the staff is fairly helpful. The advertisement/ display for up coming movies is very beautiful and eye catching.
Great place to relax and catch a film with friends. When a really popular movie comes out it gets really crowded though which isn't all that great but to be expected with such limited options.
World class. Only drawback being the incredible amount of ads in front of Your movie while you're stuck and can't change the channel.
I love the vibes. But the card machines hardly working and I don't know why but last time I went out of nachos 😶
PLEASE go back to offering patrons a choice... We don't ALL want to watch EVERY movie in 3d.....especially since (in most cases) the 3d effect is SUB PAR.
Best place to watch movies in Kingston. Just note that the food is not all that but otherwise the theatres are big and spacious and the bathroom facilities are typically clean and well supplied.
The place looks good. They have the the most recent movies showing. All in all a nice theater.
stands are packed with the usual movie favorites chips popcorn and even though tacos are not a Jamaican favorite and require some getting used to they are there. Kinda gives you the vibe of being aboard but on a smaller scale. The bathrooms are clean but need some updating. I have no problem recommending Carib 5 to anyone for a movie night out
Carib cinema (Carib 5) was built in the late 1930s. At that time, till 1996 it was a huge single screen theatre where people from many walks of life came to watch a movie or a "triple bill" (three movies for the price of one) on Saturdays or Sundays. Carib was destroyed by fire in 1996 and rebuilt and renovated into a multiplex one year later where they could show 5 movies at the same time. Carib is a locational and a historical landmark in Jamaica. In the past, many dignitaries have walked through the doors of this theater and hopefully more will do the same in the future.
The movie experience is great however if your hungry and want to get food you better prep for a long wait most times I've been here they have 4 to 6(2-3 pairs) staff working in food area this cause very long lines. This isn't even 1/4 capacity they need to schedule there works better.
One of two places to go in Kingston for a movie. It is the larger and better of the two. You can buy tickets online. On Monday's at 8pm and Tuesday's at 5pm you can watch movies for half the price.
