The Society formed of educated and Philanthropic Directors started the Degree College. Premises of the college is situated at the center of the Town at a stone's throw distance from RTC Complex and Railway Station with all amenities and facilities for the students with good library and labs. Efficient and qualified faculty members have been the back bone of the college who play the role of inspires than mere teachers.

The establishment of RK Junior & Degree College has taken place with the sole aim of bringing the avenue of Higher education at the doorsteps of the students who otherwise could not afford to avail this opportunity because of hailing from geographically remote, rugged and economically and Educationally backward area. So the Primary objective of the college is to build self Confidence in the student community who join this institution and to guide them in achieving academic excellence.

In view of catering to the dire demand of the public for seats into science groups and combination, this college started groups at B.Sc. level, with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry; Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and a very good response is received for the said groups and the results are also very fair.
